Okay. The nomination stage of the IFYs is over. Thanks to all who expressed an opinion, we've got some great chances this time around :D

Now it's time to vote, and you have three days, before the other half of the voting begins. The category up for consideration here is:

Best Character : Which storygame, in your opinion, has a main character that has come to life in the text? Give it your vote in the Best Character Ify.

Get Voting!

Though I would(n't) like to vote for my own, I think Shady deserves this one. Who on this site didn't worry about what Dora was going to be getting up to in the next chapter? No one, I'm sure. Well, no one of any worth that is... ;)

But don't let that stop you from voting for Andrew! He would love to win an award; any award! ANY

This was a tough choice. All were good, but I eventually came down for Andrew Pickford, because I can empathise with him, plus I can't let NGD run away with ALL the categories! ;)

Voted for Andrew Pickford, although I didn't have a chance to say so at the time. He's so full of human flaws that you've just got to be fond of him :D

Voted for one of Soily's people again - I have to stop doing this - and helped him pull into the lead.

But does anyone else notice the percentages don't add up?

The percentages will do that sometimes. I would like to vote for my own character, but personally I don't think he has the depth he has the potential to show.

This poll is now closed...

Andrew Pickford (Rubber-Duckie) and Elladora Chubb (No Good Deed) have tied for first place.

However, since we have a tie, and a day in-hand, anyone not listed in the poll below that wants to post a preference before the 15th will sway the vote one way or another.

If this hasn't happened by the 15th May, then both options will go forward to represent MEH.

Thanks to everyone that voted.

:D

Oh, so that's what happens?

Seems a bit unfair on everyone else.

That's one way of looking at it. Another way is that it's dividing the vote of those people who like General/Humour Stories better than Fantasy or Sci-Fi.

If 8 people on site were more likely to pick a MEH as their preference, the odds are that each of the tied candidates will only get 4 votes apiece, while the Fantasy and Skiffy options will still get the full count of Fantasy and Skiffy fans voting for their faves.

If anyone is capable and willing to break the tie, that's fine.

If not, then I think it's more unfair to pick one candidate over the other at random, than to just let the two go through.

Why not get Key to pick? I thought that's what he saved his vote for?

I'll break the tie!

I cast my lot with Andrew Pickford, cause he's just funny as hell.

We have a winner! Andrew Pickford goes through. Congrats Soily :D

I'll PM Chinaren and D-Lotus and let them know, for the awards ceremony
