Welcome to the City of IF!
A warm welcome to all who have stumbled upon the illustrious City of IF :) . This page is essentially a quick overview of the site and what goes on within it.
The main part of the City of IF is concerned with Story Gaming. Members of the site will write a chapter of a story, with a choice at the end of it. People registered on the site can then read the chapter and make suggestions as to what should happen at the decision point. The author of the Story Game (SG) will then put up a poll based on the discussion and allow other users to vote on what should happen - using the winning option to start off their next Chapter.
New SG's start off in the New SG District before being promoted. This can only happen if the SG meets certain standards of spelling etc. to ensure that only good quality SG's make it to one of the three main SG forums: Fantasy, Scifi, Future and Horror and Miscellaneous, Experimental and Humor .
The site also hosts a page for linear stories, and word games.
