No, Maddy needs to feel the worst emotional pain possible. Drama is full of rumors, yes? Rumors fly like moths to the flame, they cannot be halted, so rumors will fly, better of for worse, growing larger and larger by the lies that are added to it.

Sleeping with Riley is something that some will appreciate but most will call it one thing, "SLUTTY." There must be repercussions for Evey and you. Some will obviously treat her with disgust and others with admiration for her bravery. You can use this to fuel your anger, perhaps even Maddy spread these rumors, and a more devious plot can begin.

Chapter 5: The Bonds of Sisterhood....

What a stupid Bitch! I mentally curse my sister out. I plot various ways of seeking revenge for what Evey has done to me. She promised to make things better! I should have known it was a lie. She never keeps her word.

"Lisi?" Kate says, ripping me from my thoughts of torture. "Are you alright? You look like you're going to be sick."

"I'm fine. I guess I had a bit too much to drink last night." I lie.

"Ugh, hangover?" she asks sympathetically.

"Yeah..."

"I know how you feel." Kate laughs. I smile fakely and finish up at my locker. Kate and I walk down the hall towards our first period classes. She waves as we come to her class and disappears into the classroom. I try to think of my options as I continue on towards choir. I still haven't figured out what to do when I reach the door. I'm dreading walking into the room. All of my friends are in there. Plus this just so happens to be Riley's first period class as well. Oh joy. I walk in and quickly go to my friends. Try as I might to not be noticed, Riley still sees me and comes over to me.

"Hey..." he says in a low voice. I desperately wish that Maddy had choir. At least then he wouldn't be over here with me.

"Hey yourself."

"You never answered my question." he whispers. i feel his mouth close to my ear. Unfortunately the erst of my friends are too absorbed in the latest dramafest to notice how close Riley is to me.

"What question?" I say, playing dumb.

"Why did you leave without saying goodbye?" he asks sweetly. For a moment I get the familiar chill I used to get from Rob. Then it's gone. I try to decide what to do. I realizes that I can't tell him it wasn't me. He would never believe that. Evey's betrayal has brought up an unseen course of action. If I play along it would hurt Maddy as she hurt me.

"I'm sorry." I say sweetly, playing along with the lie. "But I was so embarassed."

"Why were you embarassed?"

"Because I was afraid you'd think I was a whore." I reply softly. I feel like laughing at the entire situation.

"I don't think you're a whore, Lisi" He replies. His lips brush my neck. A cold shiver runs up my spine. Maybe playing along with this isn't such a bad thing after all.

She starts going out with Riley in secret and then when she feels she can trust him tells him (and shows him) how Rob and Maddie are cheating on them. He is at first heartbroken, but then angry with her because he thinks she was only going with him to get Rob back.

Of course, by this time they are both deeply in love with each other.

She just uses him to get back at Rob. No need for secrets, annouce that she's breaking up with Rob to be with him if you want.

Maddie for her betrayal of friendship,
Evey for starting the rumours,
and even Riley too, for he is going out with Maddie yet he is cocky enough to think a one night stand with Lisi/Evey makes him in every respect her boyfriend.

Chapter 6: Unexpected love....

"I'm glad you don't think of me that way." I say, in a sickly sweet voice. I fight the urge to gag. Riley's lips brush the back of my neck again. I shiver involuntarily and wonder what the heck is wrong with me. The movement does not go unoticed by Riley.

"Hmmmm.... that did something" He murmurs with a wolfish grin. He moves so that he is no longer behind me, but in front of me.

"Maybe...." I say coyly. He lightly touches his fingertips to my neck, smiling at my resulting shudder. "Quit it...." I say softly.

"But why?" he asks innocently, "I'm not doing anything." I roll my eyes.

"Uh huh, sure you're not." my toes curls in my shoes as he touches my collarbone this time. "Ok. You really need to stop now." I say softly but firmly.

"Aw, what's the matter? Are you getting all hot and bothered?" He says, teasingly.

"A little." I reply not all that untruthfully. I really need to get a grip on myself!
He reaches to touch me again but stops at my pleading look.

"Alright. I guess that's enough tormenting for now." he chuckles. I sigh, mentally, with relief. I was beginning to lose my cool there for a moment. the bell rings and I'm grateful for the reprieve. The rest of the day is a blur. I can't seem to focus on anything other than the plot that is unfolding in my life. Riley catches my eye a few times in the hallway. I give him a flirtatious smile. But when Rob try to catch my eye I pretend not to notice him. I try to think of excuses for this, knowing full well he would ask about it the first chance he got. I decide on a bullshit excuse about being preoccupied with classwork. Lame I know, but then again it is Rob. The bastard doesn't seem nearly as smart as I once thought him to be. And as for Maddy, well I hope to not meet her in a deserted hallway for her own sake. Lost in my thoughts, I don't see Kate approach me.

"So was that whole thing with Riley your plan all along?" she asks.

"No, it was more like a spur of the moment thing." I say truthfully.

"Was it a one time deal? Or are you going to keep this new thing between you two going?"

"I think I'm going to keep it going. Could be useful to have him on my side." I reply.

"Does he know?"

"About his girlfriend and best friend? No." I say dryly.

"Are you going to tell him?"

"I haven't decided yet."

"Why not?"

"What's with the third degree? Geez!" I reply, slightly annoyed.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrogate you." Kate says.

"It's ok, I'm just kinda stressed right now. You know?"

"Yeah. It's all good. Well here come Riley and Rob. Do yo want me to stick around for moral support?"

"Please?" I say pleadingly.

"Of course." She replies. As the boys draw nearer, I can see that they are laughing and joking as if they weren't sleeping with each other's girlfriend.

"Hey Lisi." Robs says, greeting Kate with a nod of his head. He walks up to me and puts his hands on my hips. Usually this would give me shivers like you wouldn't believe, but not anymore. Now it just makes me sick to have him touch me. Rob doesn't seem to notice my stiff posture though, because he puts his mouth to my neck and kisses me. Over his shoulder, I see Riley bristle slightly.

"Hi Rob, Riley." I say. At the sound of is name, Riley seems visibly happier. Rob releases me from his embrace.

"I can't spend time with you tonight, I'm working on that special project again." Rob says. "I'm sorry."

"So am I." I lie.

"Another time?" he asks. I nod. He waves and disappears down the hall. Kate and I trade glances. Riley looks at me, longingly. An awkward silence falls over the three of us. Kate clears her throat, shattering the silence like glass.

"I...er....um... have to go to my locker." Kate says and hurries down the hall, leaving Riley and I standing in the middle of the hallway.

"So...... do you want to come to my house tonight?" Riley asks slyly. I hesitate for a moment.

"Um....yeah, why not." I say.

"Great. C'mon, my car is out back." He replies. I follow him out to the back of the school, still wondering if i should tell him of Maddy's deceit.

seriously - the guy isnt any better than maddy. riley doesnt know she is cheating on him but he is quite happy to cheat on her so is he really any better?

as for the fact you (liana) said that no one knows Evey that was just what Lisi believes. dont close yourself off to plot twists so thoroughly as you will be limiting the flow of the story. havent you seen 'wild things' youspend the whole time assuming that no one knows anyone else and then through a series of flashbacks (very well done ones btw)you find out that two of the characters had met previously DESPITE the lead character have thought that no one else knew them.

Chapter 7: Seduction........Maybe

I slide into Riley's car without a second thought. I shift around in the leather seat of his mustang. Riley's sees my nervous manner and chuckles. He starts it up and revs it a few times, grinning at me. I surpress the urge to roll my eyes. Riley turns on the stereo and I nearly jump out of my skin from the high volume and pounding bass.

"Sorry" Riley says, turning it down.

"No problem, I'm just deaf now. No biggie." I reply, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Will this make it up to you?" He asks, leaning forward and kissing me in a gentle yet demanding way. My toes start to curl again. Thank god I'm not wearing flip flops.

"It's a start." I say, remembering the facade.

"There'll be more later." He replies with his wolfish grin. Something about the look on his face sends a jolt of anticipation down my spine. Easy girl. I will myself to keep calm. Riley looks at me for another moment or two before peeling out of the student parking lot. We race down the depressing grey street of our sleepy little town. We drive down familiar streets where I rode my bike as a child. Things were so simple then. The surprisingly abrupt halt of the car bring me crashing out of my reverie. It take me a moment to realize that we've arrived at Riley's house.
Riley rushes around to my side of the car and opens the door for me. "My lady." He says.

"Thank you kind sir." I reply, being a smart ass. I'm rewarded for it by a bite on the neck by quickfooted Riley. I let out a yelp that's purely surprise not pain.

"Are you ok? Did I hurt you?" He asks, suddenly concerned.

"No, I'm fine." Unless you count the goose bumps that have risen on the back of my neck. Riley smiles an leads me into the house. I note the lack of cars in the driveway. "When will your parents be home?"

"Not until much later." He says evily. I smirk back at him. He take me to the living room, then leaves to get us some refreshments. I settle onto the couch, tucking my feet under me. he returns a few minutes later with two cokes and a bag of chips. "I thought we'd watch tv for a bit."

"Ok." I say, relieved not to be doing other activities. Riley picks up the remote and starts flipping through the channels. He settles on some bloody movie I've never even heard of. Personally I don't think it's all that impressive.

"I hope you don't mind a scary movie." He says, inching closer to me.

"Not at all, but if you're expecting me to scream and ask you to hold my hand you're sorely mistaken. It takes more than that to make me swoon." I tell him.

"Well you're no fun." He replies jokingly. He inches closer to me again until we are snuggling on the couch. We watch the wholly uninteresting movie for about an hour before he gets bored.
"This movie kinda sucks huh?"

"I could have told you that an hour ago." I say playfully.

"Then why didn't you? We could be doing more interesting things right now." he says.

"Nice." Unconciously I blush.

"Awww, that's a pretty shade of pink there Lis." He teases. I hide behind a wall of my hair. "What are you hiding from?"

"Nothing." I say.

"Bullshit. Come on, you're really cute when you blush." he teases again.

"Grr." I reply and stick my tongue out at him. He laughs.

"Grr yourself." he says and begins to tickle me.

"Hey! That's cheating Riley! No fair."

"Who said it had to be fair?" He laughs. I squeal with laughter and bat at him playfully.

"Stoooooop!" I whine.

"Alright, alright." He concedes and kisses me gently. My knees are no longer solid.

"That's cheating too you know." I complain.

"Too bad." He says and kisses me again. This time he doesn't stop. I wrap my arms around his neck and his around my waist. I close my eyes without thinking. In fact the only thing I'm thinking about is the feel of his soft, warm lips on mine. Suddenly a feel his hand snaking up my shirt. but at the moment I'm too much in ecstasty to stop him. Deftly, he removes my bra with one hand. At the same time his other hand pulls his shirt off. Everything is happening really fast. I'm not sure what to do and I don't have much time to react.
