I think heading for the engine room is the best idea - they have no way of knowing the approaching ship's intentions, and they could be hostile. The fact that this ship is just appearing as soon as their engines go down, and they're supposed to be in remote space seems suspicious to me.

Not to mention the fact that they wouldn't want to pass on the infection to anyone else - meeting with the approaching ship could do just that, if they happen to be on the same side.

Anyway...this is a difficult situation. I guess, firstly, send a message to the ship warning of the infection. Find out their intentions before venturing off into some wild situation.

Thanks D. Yes, I have heard of the ETA, but this is more commonly used for: Estimated Time of Arrival

I corrected the 'here' mistake in my master, but must have missed it on this one.

Any other suggestions?

Split up. Send the marines down to the engine room and the captain stays and arms weapons ready for the other ship.
