A link offering 'download' instead opens the item directly. You cannot right click > save target as, nor drag 'n' drop, nor is there a file > save option.
How the hell do you be downloading such a nuisance? |

| sounds like a faulty link, bad coding, Phang. I would know. I suck at coding! :P What is it you're trying to download? Sometimes those kind of things require you to become part of their site "club' in order for the proper downloads to work. It's like the link is just a teaser until you join, and then can access the real thing.. usually for a fee. I went thru something like that with Adobe Illustrator |

| I don't believe it's a lack of membership, or a 'fault'. More an oversight on their part, I've seen it on several websites. |

| Maybe it's a pretend link! Like a "want it? can't have it! want it? can't have it!" kind of thing  |

My dogs do that when they drop a stick or a ball... they grab it at the last second, then go a few meters away and drop it again.
Have you tried sneaking up on it? |

| Hmm. Maybe it's playing hard to get. Maybe you're just not being sexy enough when you click the button, Phang! |

*is going to put his own logic in the problem*
Maybe, when the download window comes up, you have to save it to your computer instead of just running it... so when the option comes up....save or run... you have to save the program |

It doesn't give that option, it just opens automatically. That's kinda the problem, if that wasn't clear.
Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for sexy clicking! FOR SCIENCE! |

| The site probably has some code to stop you downloading it. Try it with another browser, such as Opera. (which is th ebest browser btw) |
