Is it wrong to vote for yourself for SGotM???
I think this is an ongoing debate in IF.
If so, can we add an "author's option" to the polls so we can check our standing without having to click the view results tab? |

| I think it's perfectly alright, as long as you really believe your story is the best. Maybe taking away the vote of the nominated authors would eliminate moral uncertainty or guilt and shame, but that really is your own problem, and besides, some nominated authors may want to vote for a story other than their own.. |

I had two of mine nominated for the same SGOTM one month, so I voted for the one I favoured the most to win.
I've seen authors vote for SGs other than their own, too...
There's never been a rule against it, and its up to the author at the end of the day, I guess. |
