Not sure. We tried it the other day, but since no-one knew the password, we couldn't get anything posted.

Had a good laugh with the old 'make-your-own-username' feature though.

Why is the password there? Is there a reson? I mean anyone can find out if we want to do a SC so why don't we all just know it anyway? That would make it a bit easier.

And I agree that the old chatroom is fun funs!

We did one of those the other day. The nostalgia was amazing. We even missed the old chat sound!

Perhaps, but I just like to view it as dedication.

Why do we even have a password on the thing???

I open the window to that, I give a name and put in the password "pass" Nothing happens but that sign in vanishes. I'm still left with a strange chat that doesn't seem to have a specific place for a story or anytrhing.

As far as why it needs a password, my best guess is the software makes it manditory.

The reason it has a password is to prevent people from starting to be an author, and then wandering away without finishing the storychat, which apparently happened just now, since when I logged in all I saw was a blank window to the left.

The system is unfortunately a bit fragile in that way, so please don't start a storychat unless you know what it is, and if you start one, be sure to end it by clicking the "End Storychat" button.

Well, it's basicallly just like storygaming, but in real-time. You need an audience to play.

You start by entering the title and password of the story you want to tell. Then you get the author window as a popup (you may need to disable popup blockers to see this.

The author window allows you to enter the story, one sentence at a time, and click Send after each one. When you come to a decision point, ask for suggestions in the main window, and any of your readers can enter them there. Then you as the author click "Poll" and you can enter the items of the poll, and everyone else who's in the chat will get the poll options coming up and will be able to vote. Once they've voted, you can end the poll and go on to the next chapter.

Eventually, when the story ends, click "End storychat" to end the story and get back the main window for any future storychats.

I can't remember very well... Does the SC save the story on the site automatically? or do we have to copy and paste it if we want to keep it?

It saves it in the History section. But you might want to cut and paste it after the storychat, since I delete the history when it gets too big.

Storychat's been opened and left open again. I don't know how to close it, and I think we need an admin. Anyone willing to oblige?

Seeing how no-one else has responded, I've done it now. SC is operational again.
