THE THREE PHRASE LAW
There was a town near If in which there ruled a wizard. This wizard was wacky and ruled that the town could only utter
Three phrases a day, period.
So, literally, figuratively, whateverly, the townspeople had to utter three phrases a day. Because this wizard was a powerful wizard, best known for his stubborness and not known for his magnanimity, many feared him and not even those that tried to rebel broke the Three Phrase Law.
For there were those that rebelled. Amongst the cast of those who tried to rebel are:
Beekeeper Hal
Witch Jane
Witch Martha
Blacksmith Sal
Fool Bill
One day these five, amongst others, met clandistinely by the seaport. They were many things in the agenda. As usual, Witch Martha was the organizer of the meeting, and as usual the first worry she had to deal with was- well, how to guide a whole meeting when she can only speak three phrases a day? She already used one phrase.
"Let me assuage your back,Mama", she had soothed earlier to her 200-plus irascible mother, who glared at her and gestured ferociously, scolding her daughter silently, having already used her three phrases earlier in the morning to yell at the milk-man molesting a very willing Martha, at the dog for tripping her and causing her to fall on her back, and to prattle at the flower-man about the flowers.
There were many blessings with having a silent mother, but the family emergency did cost her a phrase.
For example, how does one open a meeting and announce the agenda effectively without using too many words and thereby landing a magical notice at her feet for using two sentences in one? Martha tossed and turned last night and fretted all day over that one.
She clapped her hands and waved wildly to get everyone's attention. Beekeeper Hal was busy trying to wrench up his beekeeping net, Witch Jane staring cross-eyed at the sky and Fool Bill was bouncing on one foot, waving his arms like a bird.
They all froze, with the except of Jane who turned her dream-like stare at Martha, in what they were doing.
"It is perspicacious that we precipitate our plan soon-" she began
"Let us be audacious and commit our perfidy!" cried Fool Bill.
Martha glared at him and silence fell as no one else had anything to say and Martha had been cut short. She felt scrambled, as she had the perfect phrase and Fool Bill had messed up her game!

Which words should she use?
Also please suggest a use!

a. blazon
b. bombard
c. circumspect
OR
a. constrict
b. contagion

Trying to learn some new vocabulary, so thought it would be fun to do a story game with it, also see if it could be a new format! Let's make this funny!-K |

| =D Thanks Thunderbird *hug* Not sure how popular this one is going to be haha. I'll see if- if I can do it next day or so- link dictionary meanings to the word choices, see if that'll draw people. |

Yeah, I'm with V... I'm not quite sure where you're going with this story. Specifically, I'm not sure how you plan to combine a vocabulary building exercise with a SG... but, hey, it's the experimental section! I'm interested to see where this one goes. I do appreciate the light-hearted nature of this.
My vote is for using "bombard" and "contagion" to come up with some sort of biological warfare plan. |

| We must circumspect our enemies defences and constrict their supply lines! |

Aha! You guys are getting it! Lol, that's what I mean, use choose vocabulary...sorry that I havent replied till now. Trying to remain involved in the community while doing my own writing is a tough balance hehe.
All right, as soon as I have food in my RL stomach I'll post the poll!
Thank you so much- Shille, what do you think of this as a form of experimental SG? |

Polll up!
So I took everyone's suggestions and restricted it to just those and decided to give you those options with the poll, in mixed ways. 7 days to poll then I'll write the sequence! What shall Martha do?? |

Oops...i'll edit it! By end of day this'll be modified.
BTW, I'm going to lay off writing new sequels for a week or so. I'll be around- especially in Council Chambers and in the Inn talking to friendly souls there- but let me cool off, then come back. My enthusiasm for my stories has been temporarily killed. Sorry guys. |
