Yeah, that happens in the darren shan books. I havnt read that in any other vampire book i have read.

Anyway, John did that because thats how vampires do it in my story (like some do it with both hands some do it my draining all the blood from da neck and then make the ppl drink threre blood).

And, even though he is a full vampire. It will take him a long time to be able to use all his powers(he will learn them as he goes finding out how to do things ect..) but he will not have the purge.

okay! heres the next chap! (i would say what chap it is but i cant remember lol)

I Stood staring. I thought the mad john dude was joking! I didnt realise he was tellin the truth all along! Oh god! I really am i a vampire! Im nly thought this was a joke: i thought i was only his blood bro! On films you suck out of peoples necks and make them drink your blood in return! It was nothin like that! Just a stiking pain in my hand and then......

I came to my senses and ran into the cave. I ran up to John and shock him. He was asleep! Dead to the world! How on earth could he sleep at a time like this???
" JOHN!!!!!!"
I screamed. It was no use! he wouldnt of woke up even if a heard of elepahnts came running in!

I ran around the cave looking for somethings to defend myself from these THINGS!
There was nothing here! ; just twigs, stones and Johns stinky shoes. Well, i suppose his shoes would knock them out for a bit!
I would have laughed but i was too scared.

Then i saw it! ; sticking out of Johns coat. It was long, hard and pointy! It could only be one thing!!!

A gun!!!
I ran over ang rummaged into his pocket. And sure in there was a gun. But he wasnt allowed to use a gun was he? Wasnt it disshonerable?
Oh well, no time to think about that! If i don't act fast I'll be dead! Whats more important? checking to see if its okay to use the damn thing and die? Or live using something and being given dirty looks?

Well duh!
I checked to see if it was loaded (which it was) and ran outside.
They were about a mile away. I could hear there footstaeps. I normal conditions i wouldn't of been able to hear them. but my vampire powers must have began to quick in. So cool!!

I aimed and took a shot. To my astonishment they started running towards me with knives. The bullets had hit one of them and was bleeding but he still kept running!
I got my pen knife out of my pocket and ran into the fight!

I knew i would probable die but i didnt care! There was a loud sound like a powerfull winjd. I fell to the floor and saw balck everywhere. The Purple people stared and i thought, "Yes my lucks up!!!"
I dived at one of them and stabbed him over and over. Black blood spurted everywhere. The other two were to busy running from the bllack sea to notice.

He was fdead i got up and squinted at the black sea in the air.
I laughed. It was loads of bats helping me!
I was laughing too soon. I haerd movement behind me.....
what was it???

I turned round, but i was too late. Someone or something pushed me onto the floor. I felt along the floor for some kind of weapon. My hand grabbed something cold and slippery.

It was an empty beer bottle. I smashed the end on the floor so it was sharp. It was pitch black I could barely see a thing. I could just see the outline of someone.

He was standing just above me. I moved backwards slowly. He dived at me and hands grasped round my throat. I cried out and shoved the beer bottle into his neck. He grabed it from my hand and bent my wrist back.

He moved his body onto top of mine. I could barely breathe, he was crushing me!!! He brought his head near me and then suddenly the room started to spin and everything went balck

I awoke to a dripping noise acompained by loud snoring. It sounded formilliar.
I was laying on a cold damp floor. My neck was stiff from laying there. I got up slowly and looked around.

I was in the cave!!!
That means-

I ran to the other end of the cave where the snoring was comming from. There was John laying on the floor sleeping soundly. I looked for any sign of a wound.

There was no sign of any mark.
So if it wasn't him I stabbed it could only have been a vampaneeze.
I looked down at John, I wonder if he slept through the whole thing.

I laughed out loud. He proabably did.

I walked back to the front of the cave where a fire had nealy burnt out. Juat a few flames.
I sat next to it trying to warm up.
Maybe I should make me and John some breakfast. No, maybe later.

I got up and walked outside the cave going over everything which had happened so far as me being a vampire im my head. It was like one big massive adventure. Quiet scary but what else is there to do?

something caught my eye. I turned round and on the floor was an envelope. I picked it up curiously. I stared at it asif trying to work out what was inside.
I opened it very carefuly and pulled out a small letter from inside.
I unfolded it and read it slowly:

John,
You must come up to the Black forest as I need to speak very urgently.
The vampaneze have declaered war. There young king who has just wed for some rreason declares war.
As soon as you get this letter plaese come up right away.

I have not informed the rest of the clan. Only you and the 3 leaders know at the moment.

" Morning..."
I heard John say grumpiley.


What should I do?

If I'm understanding this correctly your powers are starting to devolop but you need training to use them properly. Currently John is the only one who can teach you that you know of. You have an army that would be more than happy to kill you coming to say hi sometime.

With this in mind you find a letter that might be useful to John but doesn't help you out at all. It could also be a test from John to see if you are trustworthy.

If John gets it he will probaly take you to meet the rest of the vampires which might not be the best thing in the world but I don't really see a downside.

If the letter is a test John will probally kill you and leave. You have his gun and the letter and have allready gotten in his way before. I don't really see any reason for him to leave you allive if he doesn't trust you.

I vote for giving him the letter and the gun :)

I sat down on the cave floor as John who was in an extremly grumpy mood set up a fire to make breakfast. I sat there watching him as I thought about the letter. Should I give it to him or not? And what about the gun? He probably doesn't even know it's gone yet. Will he be angry that I toke it and used it without his permission. Or will he be angry as it is supossed to be dishonorable to use a gun?

A plate of baked beans and saussages was handed to me, I muttered thanks and ate slowly as i thought about what to do.
When I finnished I looked up to see John starring at me with what looked like curriosity.
I swallowed and said,

" John, uh.... Vampaneze came and attacked the cave last night."
I paused waiting for some kind of responce, there was none so I carried on.
"I, uh, tried to wake you but you were dead to the world, I even yelled at you. Well, I saw your gun in your pocket,"
I got it from behind me and pushed it towards him, he didn't take it he just sat there listening to me.
" and I went and shot one of the vampaneze. Then a big fight broke out and I don't really remember what happened after that."
there was complete silnce for a moment.

" I know."
John said suddenly.
" what? how do you kno-"
" I came outside to see what all the noise was and there you were fighting with the vampaneze. I let you deal with it, to see how you would get on."

" You what? I could have DIED!!!!!"
I shouted angrilly.

" Calm down Dan! I wasn't sure if you were a vampaneze so I came over to examin you when you stabbed me repeatedly, so I knocked you out."
I sat there confused my anger sub-sideing. How could he possibly have knocked me out? He has no stab marks or anything!
As if reading my mind he said,
" Us vampires have healing spit. If we spit in our wounds they heal quite quickly. Plus I washed my clothes as I didn't want you to worry."
" How come I don't have this `healing spit` then?"
I asked.
" You will in time. It just takes awhile to learn things and for your body to ajust to being a vampire, thats all."

I sat there thinking about everything how it all made sense now when I sudenly remembered the letter.
" John, this was found on the floor when I woke up. It's a letter."
He took the letter thinking nothing of it. He just stuffed it in his pocket.
" It's an urgent letter!"
I said.
" Yes I know,I've read it."
said John packing all his stuff into a bag
" We'll be leaving in ten minutes, to go up to Black forest. It will take it a couple of days to get there."
I starting packing my bag with questions spinning in my mind- How did John know about the letter? How the hell did he knock me out without touching me? Why did he have a gun? And why didn't he bring up the subject of the vampaneze attacking our cave?


When John had finnished packing we headed north to where the forests and mountains were.


As I didn't have a dession point. I will get the next chapter out as soon as possible.

Next chap

Looks up the mountain and back down, we had walked for miles for two nights with only a couple of ours sleep and know food. I don't know how John can do it! I'm knackered and he's pratically sprinting up the hill!
Ugh...I plonked myself down on a massive rock.
" Look, were nearly there! Just another.....well, 50 miles to go"
John said smiling asif 5o miles was nothing. I groaned and got to my feet.
" Can't we just flit?"
I grumbled
" No. We need our energy for something useful! Like fighting off these darm Vampaneze! Anyway your can't flit properly yet! you haven't been a vampire long enough!"
He tuted and jogged off.

We've walked about twenty miles now and I'm pratically dead on my feet! Literaly, there bleeding and I've got cuts and bruises all overbecause i ran into some blasted tree.

CRACK!
I waltz round, nothing.
" what are you looking at now? Come on we haven't got far!"
I carried on walking but I kept my ears trained for any sound.
I sniffed the air. It smelt odd. I sniffed again, harder. It smelt like burning, burning wood.
" Can you smell that?"
I asked.
" What?"
He took a deep breath in.
" That smells like burning wood...strange, my clan wouldn't be doing this they protect the trees as they give them homes. Something wrong. we're gonna have to flit. You'll have to try and keep up."
Before I could say anything he was off. I ran as fast as I could but I'm not as fast as him by a long shot.

I carried on running, panting until I came to a clearing, it was someones camp or den...but now it was burnt and belongings were trashed. John was searching frantically around I just stood there. What I heard back there must have been the people running away after doing this.

" If there was anyone here they're dead now. But i doubt it. I can't see any tracks apart from ones fleeing from here after the attack. Sebastion must have relised something was wrong and moved on."

I stood there staring, What the hell is he on about?
" Our leader, Sebastion, he senses things like no-other being apart from this twin,"
He shuddered.
" He's proably moved somewhere else."
He stood thinking for a moment.
" Daniel, I need you to do me a favour, it's a few hours before night fall,
as I'm more experianced than you at catching animals and what nots-"
"Hey!"
I protested. He waved it off
" So, I'd like you to go in search of my Clans new base. They won't have gone far. We'll meet at nightfall!"
The he was gone.
I walked off in the opposite dirrection and heard footsteps behind me. I waltz round. There was no-one there but I had the distinct feeling someone was watching me there eyes in the back of my head.

I came to a crossroads. Four seperate paths including the one I came up.
They all looked exactly the same....I looked around and saw something in the bushes in the corner of my eye. I turned to the bush, whatever it was was gone. I looked suspiciously at it and walked over. There was a twig on the floor in the shape of a star. I picked it up and put it in my pocket.

I made a mark on the floor to know which path I had come from.

Now, the question is which way shoud I go, North into a forest, East, into a forest or west into yet another forest. Something struck the side of my head coming from the west. I turned round and stared down the winding path of the forest. I rubbed my head angrilly.

Maybe I should go left and see who or what is doing that, but whoever/ whatever it is could be leading me asstray....

What should i do? :biggrin:

Hmmm…
I emptied my pockets onto the floor. Nothing much : the star twig thing, scrap paper, chewing gum, couple of pennies, a pen and my mobile phone! I stared at my phone. Wow! Can I get signal out here. I checked, damn one dot…whoever I talk to will be fuzzy and hard to understand. I stood staring at it realising I can’t use it as everyone will think I’m dead or something bad has happened to me as its been months since I’ve been home. I shoved it back in my pocket and looked at the rest of the junk on the floor.
I picked up one of the pennies and thought for a moment.. North is heads. East is tails. I flipped the coin, it landed on tails. I looked east. I didn’t look to bad, just yet another forest. I picked up all my bits and pieces and rammed them into my pocket and set off down the path. I would have to be quick to as night was coming. I laughed to myself as I though of John running around with loads of suntan lotion on in the day, even when it isn’t sunny. Thinking of that suddenly gave me some energy and I jogged down the un-even path into the forest .

In the forest I slowed to a walk, I needed to look for any clue of someone being in the forest. I strained my ears to try and catch a sound of anything, especially whatever it was that threw that rock at my head, I rubbed my head gingerly as I thought about it. As I walked I thought about what John has said about his clan. They must be quiet weird…hippy even, tree huggers. I sniggered immaturely, I still wonder why I laugh at stupid stuff like that when I’m 23. Do they dress in dark clothes like john, or is john just a Goth / grebb? I heard a snap that brought me back to my senses. It sounded like a twig. I stood there, heart pounding, moving my hand to my pocket where my knife was.
I stood waiting for what seemed like hours but only about ten minutes. Guessing everything was okay I relaxed and carried on but on edge as I wasn’t sure where the sound had come from.
I carried no walking and stumbled over a large log. I grumbled as I got up wiping ash and mud off my clothing.
Why couldn’t they have done the fire at the side of the path?! Not in the middle! Wait a fire!
I stood staring, it could have been the clan…but didn’t they look after the forest, not chop it down and burn it?
I touched the fire and jumped back blowing my hand. It was still piping hot, whoever’s fire it was had only just left and there were footprints leading down the path so I had a great chance of catching up with them. I stamped on the fire to put it out right as it was still burning slightly. Then I flitted as fast as I could down the path deeper into the forest. I looked up, It was nearly pitch black. I would have to hurry or I will be unable to find my way back and I expect john would carry on without me anyway.

I came to a clearing in the middle of the forest, it was unnervingly quiet. There was just a hoot from an howl in the distance, there wasn’t even any wind to blow the trees. I reached in my pocket and grabbed my knife as I’d left the gun with john. Holding the knife helped me to calm myself s I knew it would help protect me if anything tried to attack…well try, it probably wouldn’t save my life as I’m not very good with knives as I haven’t had much practice. My hands shook slightly as I thought of that, and I has loads of images of my body mangled bleeding with some monster tearing me to shreds eating me. Something in the corner of my eye flashed and I turned in that direction scared for my life. I raised my knife protectively warning off whatever it was, but I doubt if it would scare it as whatever it was would probably have really sharp teeth to rip me apart or a gun. I stood shaking unable to move fear knowing at me inside, knowing that I would die.

I saw it again and I turned. It was running in the trees very fast. I gasped as it ran towards me at a frightening speed. It plunged on top of me as I was unable to move thoughts whizzing through my mind. It was a man, 30 or 40, but his eyes looked liked they had seen the world over and over, they looked tired of everything but determined. I stared open mouthed as he pinned me to the floor. He stared at me not doing anything, waiting. My head cleared and I stabbed him with my knife, I barely sliced his skin when he grabbed my knife and through it to the side. I strained under his weight as he sat on me wrestling me to the ground as I tried to get up and get my knife. He pushed his hand on my throat blocking my airways.
He had a knife! Why didn’t he use it!
I struggled for breath as he pushed harder and harder on my throat not understanding why he didn’t just kill me quickly, it’d be easier for him to do that, or maybe he just likes hurting people. He didn’t look like he wanted to. In his eyes was sadness. I didn’t understand why he was doing it but I didn’t care. I lifted my hand off the ground and punched him hard in the face. Taken by surprise he fell off me. I turned over gasping for breath. I staggered to my feet and grabbed my knife.
Something hard hit me over the head and blood went into my eyes. I cried out as it burned and all I could see was red. I tried to attack the man but he didged easily and he whacked me again, but this time I fell falling deep into total black and darkness
