Don't worry, you'll get Demonic Payment for yourself... Laughing but I just want to see it getting a bigger coverage in the story. Especially involving me and demons.

Okay, the general concensus seem to be to go for Phang. A bit of a suprise I must say, but so be it...

I'd say listen to Sorrow. After all, what harm can it do?

The worst that can happen is that our hero will end up a servile wretch like Idea Master, and the world will fall under the dark and evil influence of Phang until the skies run red with blood and to merely exist is a nightmare of endless torment...

So hey, why not? Wink

i'd say ignore sorrow - who he doesn't ttrust

and try to kill phang again

plus it's less likely to work

however i must point out one flaw with that story - it had a distinct lack of me in it

greetings. inve been following the story and enjoing every moment.

i think that he should listen to sorrow, cos at the mo he needs all the help he can get, even if he is a evil-hating paladin

My pic seems a little misleading...at least no one thinks I'm a girl. Wink

I would say listen to sorrows plan, but then use IM to reveal her real reason behind it, or try to get him to reveal SOMETHING.

Eh? Her? Taaake a closer look at my avatar buddy. Wait . . . do I look like a girl in my avatar?? AAAaaaa!!! Well, I'm a guy. :\

I say, go kill Phang, and have IM turn out to be a super powerful mage who can destroy all of her demonic protections, while I sit looking smug and being damn glad that he's on MY side.

Great chapter - I think Mother Goose is my favourite character Very Happy

I say listen to Sorrow. It sounds like he's saved his life anyway. Did he build some sort of soft landing to catch them when Phang sent them flying away?

I got that impression - which means Sorrow can see the future to some degree, and has some impressive powers. I tend to believe/trust people that save my life.

Happy Writing. Smile

Attacking Phang did nothing except get people killed/mutilated.
Sorrow is hanging around persistently, having saved their lives just a moment before, showing determination and resourcefulness.

That aside, Chinaren has gone to great lengths to show that we aren't allowed to fight Phang, and also that Sorrow is bursting to tell us something important.

So there is really only one poll option worth considering... listening to Sorrow.

This is a storygame Chinaren, the whole point is that the author has no control over which path the plot takes. No No Shame on you

So once more we are back with Homer. Jnmrcs has met an untimely death, Sad the fort at Cra-yon seems to be doomed, and Phang triumphant. Is all lost? Maybe so. Yet there is hope.

What course shall Homer and his gang take (they are still there, just not in this chapter, I had to do a lot of plot stuff this time!)

Suggestions, comments, bribes. I await your responses.

Excellent new chapter, Chinaren. I like the sound of the twisted and bitter witch. Cool

If we're going to get to her in time, we need to go through the troops again.

Either we've got to find the flamingo and do some fast-moving by magic again, or we're going to have to take the sneaky route and walk through the pass dressed as enemy guards. I can't see our fine Paladin going for something so underhanded, but he might allow himself to be persuaded by his helpers. Paladins can be like that Wink

So, I think disguising ourselves as enemy soldiers would be good. Then Phang casts some sort of illusion-dispelling divining magic, which exposes our hero(es?) as (t)he(y) run(s) past Cra-yon.

Of course, we can't forget D-Lotus. Perhaps he wakes up in his slime bed and joins EH in destroying some great evil near the witch, or something.

Nice chapter! It made me feel a real urge to jump up with a big sword and kill everything! *suppressing urge....*

I think he should go to Rulm. as it seems the most hopeful choice. other than that, they're probably screwed, so kill them interestingly!

once again your chapter is strongly flawed chinaren with the lack of evil black daemons - namely me.

i think that homer should go straight for the cra-yon fort to try and defend it

ignore sorrows advice and attack again and again

if (when) he fails and falls at least it was for a good cause

It does seem that it would be incredibly strange for Try for the more distant Black Forest to win with everyone posting to try running through the troops.

So, the plot thickens! What should Homer do now? Who is the mysterious Sorrow? Is Phang having a good time? Will Lord of the Night get to the wicked witch first? Will Dean the Head go blind from Muaddib’s diapers? Where was Sunbellina* this chapter?

All this** and more will be answered in the next exciting episode! <Dramatic music plays>

*Couldn’t fit you in, sorry, next chapter though…
**Well, maybe not all of it.

We're a paladin, we could never just turn tail and let our ally be captured by the forces of evil. On the other hand, fighting head-on hasn't gotten us very far against Phang.

So let's be sneaky. Let Hyperion try to bluff his way out, but if they discover him, let's charge in and help the drow capture the impostor. Then we can pretend to take him away for questioning.

I like Key's idea. The other option is to come straight in with a story (eg. special mission on the orders of Powers or Phang, and the troll is necessary to its completion).

That's risky, though. All bluffs are. Maybe the flamingo is doomed... but we've got to try Very Happy
