Your Royal Kingness, Ladies, Gentlemen, Creatures of IF!

The voting is over, the time has come to present the all important annual IFY Awards!

As this is a message board, it will be a bit difficult waiting for an acceptance speech each time we post an award, so we will get on with the awards and leave the floor open for acceptance speeches afterwards!

We'll split this up into 3 or 4 seperate threads, or it's going to be a bit long with all the graphics that are coming. Very Happy

Before we start I would like to thank all the staff of the IFYs this year.

Chinaren for his advice and work on the Golden IFY award

Lordofthenight for his monitoring and logging of the nominations.

NeverNeverGirl for her hard work in co-ordinating and editing the adverts and reviews, Bill Board's avatar and helping manage the votes and nominations.

For the first time two of our awards have been sponsored by two worthy storygames, Superhuman, and I Dont Believe in Fate.

Their respective Authors, Zephyr and Geek Girl put in successful bids to plaster IF with advertisements of their storygames, and they have also been rewarded by two IFY awards being named after them. The current issue of the IFQuirer carries reviews written for these two storygames.

Special thanks to Zephyr and Geek Girl for their participation in the sponsorship venture.

Also thanks to Masterweaver, Mephistopheles and NeverNevergirl for supplying the advertisements and reviews, and to the numerous Advertising Agents who graciously allowed the advertisements to be pasted all over their storygames.

Bill Board was a very busy ad man indeed! Very Happy

Thanks to everyone who has participated in this year's IFY's, whether it be in the organisation, advertising, or the nominating and voting, this event couldn't have happened without you!

I'd like to point something out:

These awards ceremonies are quite pointless. Everyone knows who won. If there was only some way to hide the votes, then nobody would know the winner, and it would be more of a surprise. Ah well, I guess the recognition never feels bad anyway.
