Hmm.. it would seem that I still have powers pertaining to the IFTech Institute.. so lets have some fun, shall we?

How about a good, old-fashioned vocabulary game?

Give me some grammatical abnormalities! For instance:

DEER isn't pluralized when there's more than one.. but BEER is.
GOOSE becomes GEESE, but MOOSE doesn't turn into MEESE.
YOU is used for one individual OR a group.. (not "YOUS", which makes my teeth hurt.).

Wanna give it a try?
(And, yes, I realize that "wanna" isn't proper English or good grammar, but that's not really the point here.. unless you want it to be- in which case, i probably have a pencil around here somewhere, and that has a very nice, sharp, leady and hurtful point.... oh, enough bloodshed already.. ON WITH THE GAME!)

No matter if its one EWE or a hundred EWES it's still a SHEEP or some SHEEP.

How about the BOXEN which are pulled by six OXEN?

Or the CACTI adding ABACI (which actually is correct, but so is ABACUSES)

Or the TOOTH that's in the BOOTH
which when many could be TEETH
and the BOOTHEN would be BEETH
and FORSOOTH would be FORSEETH
for as GOOSE goes into GEESE
so would CHOOSE go into CHEESE
and the TREE which becomes TREES
would have FRY turn into FREEZE
and the FLY turn into FLEAS
and the HE turn out as HES
could we stop this cycle please?

English is odd. We should all switch to French--at least there you have la police de langue!

My favorite has alway been:

If the plural form of MOUSE is MICE, why isn't the plural form of HOUSE, HICE?

OCD!!? Who has OCD? I've never obsessed about anything or anyone for years without respite--or gone to any lengths to pursue them across three counties, causing the death of a mayor, a priest, and a destitute mother in the process! Would I stoop that low?? Never!

One LOUSE and two LICE, but not one SLOUSE and two SLICE? A DOUSE becomes DICE?

And apparently a HOUSE can be a HICE if you're posh enough, but then a CrËche would be a collision between two motor vehicles in Kensington.

If Coconut Oil is made from Coconuts
And Corn Oil is made from Corn
And Cotton Seed Oil is made from Cotton Seeds...

Where does Baby Oil come from?

If BREED becomes BRED, and BLEED becomes BLED then shouldn't READ become RED?

Or, really, READ ends up being PRONOUNCED AS "red".. but still spelled the same, which drives my husband crazy. And then.. technically, if you get married.. shouldn't you have a "WEEDING", so you can later be WED?

If READ became RED, then LEAD could remainLED, and not LEAD but then why is SPREAD still pronounced SPREAD whether now or before? Confused

And technically, YOU is the plural. Thou, or thee, is the singular but it is no longer used.
