Looks cool! I love the detail. I think the glossy material doesn't quite fit, makes it look like a porcelain figurine, and the color is oddly desaturated for something that seems whimsical to me.

Well done!

Yup.
I'll update with final texture of this design.
Thank you. Ill take into consideration the color.

Lebby said what I was thinking, but it's way better than I could do in any case. Very Happy

I'm hoping to get this scene done soon.

This is much much improved over the above. Your effort is showing through

Thank you Emperor, I have the skills to get it realistic enough. It's only when it comes to having freedom to sculpt something, you always have an ugly phase. Which is true to any other artists of any sort.

I'm going to sculpt the girl now.

Oh, a totally different figure! Sexier! Very different feel to it. It's more like a video game character instead of a cartoon character. I do like it without the glossiness, especially the lion's fur. A lot of work must have gone into the texture of the fur and it looks good! Hair seems especially difficult to me.

I don't doubt you have the skills at all. Not having an artistic bone in my body I cannot imagine the time and effort it takes.

I like the facial paint/tattoo on the girl.

Wings on a mermaid sound interesting, but maybe not feathery wings. Maybe something reminiscent of the Leafy Seadragon Seahorse like this: https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-1007477986-4k-leafy-sea-dragon-seahorse-swimming

Here is our mermaid sea horse style.
Wow, time flies when your sculpting on characters.

Wings won -- so I also added the book.
What action scene should I try sculpting next??

#14:  Author: LebrenthLocation: Utah PostPosted: Tue Jul 30, 2019 6:21 am

Beautifully done! I love how you put the wings together. I'm surprised how fast you work and how good it turns out!

For the action scene... do you mean for one of the existing models or new one? First thing that comes to mind is two fairies in an accidental midair collision.

#15:  Author: scribe siren PostPosted: Tue Jul 30, 2019 6:57 am

A whole new scene for sculpting. So We got fairies in accidental collision.
Ill be waiting for more replies. Each vote put up will be made after the winning one.
So lets see your imaginations and ideas.

Thank you to those who voted, also I am a rather fast sculptor, have my own online business. Being CEO of the 3D work, skilled in script writing. I'm also a teacher and a Professional make-up and prop designer.

Always want clients to challenge me , so thank you for being first to give your idea Lebrenth. I am also thanking all others posting after this post.

Fairy number one is of a doe and feary type, what should her friend look like. Also keep throwing ideas for this scene.

Either its fairies collision, a scene with a bird on her hand, a friend doing her hair, a fight, a shy girl look. I need some more ideas for the fairies. So, im doing 2 fairies, but what vote will win.

Very Happy Wink

Maybe one of them is being chased by a large bird, its talons just barely within frame, the target looking behind her fearfully. The other is caught completely unaware.

The head looks great! Nicely proportioned, interesting details.

These are very good, far in excess of what I could manage, but the surface is shiny and reflective. Is there any chance you can change the texture? I know this is actually a really hard thing to do, but just throwing it out there.

If not, how about you try for something that has a shiny/hard surface? Probably a large rock in a lake, or maybe a sword rising from a lake. Mmm, where have I seen that before?

Hey there
Thank you. I guess you like Merlin.
I got lots of books about the history of the king and his wife.
The sculpts I make I put it on bump viewer so I can see if I messed up on the design.
So. I'll try that scene for you chinaren.
Also will surprise you guys with the lion. I just finished printing then.
Time to paint.
Most of the designs I start I keep it in a certain texture color. It's like splitting into each subtool....

Anyway. Keep your eyes open.

Thank you lebrenth, Im making a scene where she is running from the monster, instead of a claw-- we have hell hound-- Cerberus...
Gonna change each head as a different dog face-muzzle piece.

You took my 2 talons and raised me 3 heads! Here I thought I would make it easier on you, but clearly I'm still underestimating you!

Cerberus looks great, I really like the texture on the tongues. The face of the girl doesn't quite look right... she doesn't appear very distressed. Maybe add in some expression with eyebrows?

I look forward to seeing this come together!

It be awesome if u guys vote on the 3 dogs for Cerberus.
Start voting. Very Happy Very Happy
Also their facial expression would be awesome. So far I got Cerberus body and wearing a beer keg of a saint Barnard. I'll make girl More fearful. Any and all ideas taken

Yeah I was practicing texturing.
Im going to have to ask for a scene where the items touch either the character or the item to item.

Ill upload your sword tonight Chinaren. I was playing with textures with Cerberus.... Also made her protect Cerberus. Instead .

Thank you Chinaren.
Currently working on a special request for myself and a client I am collaborating with.

I'm updating this picture to show I make my own molds, also this is not real shells, instead they are going to be real ceramic shells with blue intricate patterns on it.

Very happy from the school I've been working at didn't need their Glaze powders. Now I can paint with the own made Glazes for my project.

That poor dog's head on the right! Those neck barrel things appear to be embedded in it! Really interesting textures and the new perspective from the girl.
