An armored man rode his horse to the top of a hill. Ahead of him lay a clearing, a field, a forest and within the forest- a mountain.

Brown eyes stared at the mountain for some time.

His mission was to get to the other side. He had the equipment needed for the journey, but he did not have what he viewed as the most important- information.

Lance had no idea what was in the forest, as not many ventured into it.

But according to the king he served, it did not matter. He was to deliver his majesty's summon to the wizard that lived on the other side, or never return.

Determined to return to his wife and kid, Lance signaled his horse to march forward. The mission would not get done without action.

About a quarter of a mile further, just beyond the forest outskirts, a Nymph bathes at the edge of a lake. Unbeknownst to the humming starlet, more than squirrels partake in her lilting song. Huddled amongst the bushes, a young Satyr clutches his sling already loading a stone. He pauses a few seconds, getting his breath under control, then bursts from the shrubs with a shout. A sharp crack and the sprite falls senseless. The demihuman moves to claim his prize...

The man saw the lake as he rode forward, and decided to let his horse drink before the hardest part of the journey began.

And so he rode on, towards the sparkling blue oasis.

Nearing it, he slowed his horse down to a walk and prepaed to slide off.
As he guided his horse towards the water's edge, the horse sped up a little and looked to anxiously want a drink. It was at this time that Lance was glad that the common saying did not prove true at that moment, for his horse would be needing that water.

Suddenly a sound unfamiliar to the man happened, and he saw what appeared to be a small flying humanoid. He watched in wonder, when just as suddenly, it was taken out of the air by an unknown source.

When another, somewhat larger but still strange humanoid came out of some bushes. Confused, Lance stepped up to speak. "Hey!"

"Hie!" Startled by the voice, the lecher damn near jumped out of his skin. Wide-eyed, the Satyr flailed about churning a wild froth. Sopping wet and winded, he turned his fury upon the intruder. As his gaze fell upon the weapon and armors, the Satyr felt himself go weak at the knees.
"Er, h-hello tr-traveller..."

On guard, Lance watched as the humanoid flailed about. His hand rested on his sword's hilt, preparing himself for an action of aggression. His grip only tightened as he started towards him.

Something seemed to have changed his mind though, as he seemed to have cooled his head somewhat.

"What did you do that for?" he asked, getting the unsettling feeling that something he would not like happened.

He didn't know. He didn't know! In a few moments he would be rid of the daft fool and back to plundering the waif's-wait. Ki felt about with his hoof. Where the devil was she? The Satyr bit his lip, "Just having a swim." He gave a weak smile, before giving the lake another quick sweep.

Lance watched the humanoid closely.

"Going for a swim is not a valid reason for what you did."

His own eyes swept the area as well. Silently, he hoped whatever it was didn't drown.

He took his hand off of his sword, "You did it, so you find it...but don't you do anything beyond that." He said, giving the creature fair warning.

Usually, lance was a kind gentleman, but he was on a mission for one, on for another, he was not kind to those he thought to be cruel.
