Attention all citizens!
Ever since the council came together, the guilds have been under construction and preparation. Finally, we are about to be ready to reveal the guildhalls to new members.
The launch of all guilds will be taking place on Monday, 6/27/11!
We have a guild for every genre, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Romance, Humor, even one for Experimental, and one for Art and Poetry.
There are some nominal fees for joining guilds, dependant on the guild you wish to join. Activities will be taking place within them, focused on development and promotion of the genre, as well as just downright fun and engaging.
What the guild launch means to YOU is you will be allowed to join the guilds come monday. Start considering which guilds you'll want to join because there is a limit of 3 guild memberships per registered user so you'll have to pick carefully.
Eventually, we'll have interguild competitions and activities and you'll find there will already be competitions within most guilds as well. Look for the guild advertisements popping up around IF - Guildmasters: if you wish you may post an advertisement on this thread as well.
This should be a fun and exciting event for IF, for if this works for us, it'll usher in a new era of fun and entertainment. Success of the guilds will lie on the shoulders of every IFian, so get ready to enjoy yourselves in forging some new bonds of companionship under your guild banners.

I, The Humor Guildmaster invite you to join The Humor Guild. Not only will it be the most fun, exciting and active guild (  ), its also the *coughs* cheapest.
How much do you need to pay to be a member?! Just 150f as an entry fee and 30f each month as the membership fee. (NOTE: The membership fee will be waived if you have an active story running in the Humor House)
What are the advantages of joining the guild??!
Haven't you wanted to read parodies of popular stories on IF such as "The Magician's Touch" by Crunchy, "Heavy Metal" by Tbird (please don't kill me) or "Line of Kavanagh" by Andolyn?!
You join, and you'll be able to post parodies of these stories and many others and also enjoy the parodies done by other IFians in The Parody Project.. exclusive for members of the guild.
Apart from that, many other exciting and fun activities and competitions await you in The Humor Guild.

Oh... and all guilds can be fun and exciting only if you choose to make it, as our Mayor said. This is an EPIC idea and hopefully every guild will be really active.
