Welcome to "The Machine's Daughter", a storygame of choices about freedom, identity, and the conflict between the natural and the constructed. The story tells the life of Pilla, a human girl raised in a mechanical culture and drawn to the strange and foreign "animal world."
Like most of what's on the City of IF, "The Machine's Daughter" is a storygame, which means that you and the other players collectively choose the course of the story - first by suggesting options after each chapter, and then by voting on the one to choose. If you're new to storygaming and want to know more about it, you can read the City of IF FAQ or, for more detail, the site history. Or you can just jump in and try it out, starting with Chapter 1. :D
Chapters for this storygame will come out every Sunday. The discussion phase, in which you can suggest and discuss options, will run until Tuesday night. Then the voting phase, where you can vote on your favorite option, will run from Wednesday morning to Thursday night. So the schedule looks like:
Sunday - Tuesday: discussion of options
Wednesday - Thursday: voting
