Thanks everyone for all the great thinking and discussion on our many city issues. Everyone should feel free to continue the discussions, of course, but I think we've heard enough from the candidates that we can start the voting.
The first round of voting will start now and end at 9:00 PM Pacific time Tuesday April 19th. When the voting ends, if one of the candidates has a majority (>50%), that person is our new Mayor. If no candidate has more than 50% of the vote in the first round, there will be a runoff between the top two vote-getters.
Anyone who has posted at least once (including the candidates themselves) is eligible to vote, but no person may vote more than once in each round. If you have multiple identities in the City, you can only vote with one of them. Anyone who violates this rule will be severely punished.

And thanks everyone else, particularly those that voted for me. :P
Congratulations to my competitors in this election for a fascinating voting process that got a lot of issues out in the open. I'm sure now we can all work together to get some of them sorted.
To those that didn't vote for me - hopefully I won't be too much of a disappointment ;)
I understand that some of the more indepth issues will be moving to the Technical Institute so they can continue to be discussed now, and in the future, as things change. If you have more to say on them then please pop down there and add your thoughts. :D
For now I'm going to go play with a shiny box of new tools, but I'll be back - no getting rid of me now. Mwhahahahaha.
