Hey, all! While I wait a suitable amount of time for polling before I start chapter six, I thought I'd include a map of the J'Naeric Woods. More maps will follow, such as those of Niphti and surrounding areas, and perhaps of the known world (or at least the parts we've seen so far). I might also update this map as I make up more stuff-- uh, I mean, reveal more secrets to you, my darling readers. Heh heh. Heh?

The black line is the path our heroes were supposed to follow to get to the tower. Hey, don't blame me! Those elves are some crazy people. (And no, the cave that the trio used as shelter is not included in the map as of yet.)

Note: This map is not entirely to scale. One tree represents a bunch of little trees. And so on.

Oh, you have NO idea. If I survive this chapter without scratching my own eyes out, I'll consider it a rousing success.

Thanks, though. ;)

EDIT: Oh, and look for a history of the J'naeric Woods' own resident Poot Root Tree very soon, possibly in the next chapter. :D

*giggle* Hee! Stop that, it tickles!

I will certainly do my best to get that chapter done as soon as possible. Which, of course, means we'll have another month-long wait. Hah, just kidding!

Or am I...?

You'd think they'd have been able to see the dragon through the trees? Oh well, they're not the brightest bunch...what am I saying they make Charming look intelligent!

Your saying someone broke into your house, hacked your account, and purposfully sent them in the wrong direction because they have a perverse desire too...or your saying your an idiot which isn't the best thing to do around here....you might end up next to the Poot Tree...

All I'm sayin' is funny things happen in that forest. It's easy to get turned around, to lose your way and never find it again. Especially if you're not supposed to. ;)

Edit: Ohhhhhhhhh, I see what you're saying. Yes, I should have put some sort of note on the map that said it's not entirely to scale. I know the map makes it look like the tower is only a stone's throw away from the entrance, but it's actually about a mile. Y'see, I didn't feel like copying-and-pasting a million little trees, so one tree represents... a lot of trees. So no, they wouldn't have been able to see our friend Mr. Dragon from where they were. It's not like the beastie was making much of a fuss anyway, until Wictred's fateful plan was being carried out. But wouldn't you be ticked off if some jerk tried to force his way into your mind?

And no, I don't think I'm an idiot anymore than I think my characters are idiots. But I do know how to make fun of myself, and them. :D
