Determine who faces-off in upcoming fights!

Opponent bios are listed on the BttE Casting Call. This is a citywide vote to allow the whole of IF to become involved in the BttE whether a member of one of the three teams or not. All registered users are encouraged to vote in these polls.

As the polls conclude, the Elimination Rounds scrolls will be updated to reflect upcoming fights, in addition to the completed rounds already posted.

Teams should strategize together to determine which opponent has the greatest chance of defeating an opposing team. For example, reading through Gorin's past battles, what character from the casting call might offer the greatest challenge for Gorin? Yahoo and Jakeen team members could then cast their votes collectively to have Gorin face that character next in the arena.

Conversely, teams can also determine who their character might easily defeat. Based on past battles, define your team's strengths and weaknesses and choose the character whose bio indicates an easy win.

Once the polls are complete, team members and authors can then begin strategizing for the next fight.

Raising the stakes:

Upcoming battles will reflect a new system to determine outcome of the fight. The author will begin the fight, but will not necessarily be assured of victory. The teams will suggest options for winning the battle, and the author will then create a poll based on those suggestions as always. However, each poll option will be weighted, based on what the author feels will have the greatest chance of success to the least chance of success. These weights will remain hidden from the team, but shared with the other authors and Ravenwing, an arbitrator.

If the team votes for the option with the least chance of success, then a loss or death will result and that character will be eliminated. If the team chooses one of the other options, the character may win, with varying degrees of injury or difficulty based on the weight of the option.

It's important that the teams pull together now! Make good suggestions and wise decisions. If one of the main characters is eliminated, then the winning character from the Casting Call will advance to the Final Round. The creator of that character will have the opportunity to guest author in the final battle, or auction off the character to an interested writer.

Supposedly it's part of a new mod to allow people to delete their own polls, but it's still in the transition period.

I think the poll is closed to all but the forum mods until the discussion phase is done among the teams. That way, there's a chance of block voting for the best chance :)
