I would have to say the same, or more, about Blue Duck Chia. At least Nalloon is an active participant on the site, wheras BD has only ever posted once, in the four word game.
However, I believe everyone on the city deserves a vote, so I am not contesting this. |

Chinaren, I respect you, and your capitalist priniciples. Were it not for your stories that feature IF citizens, I might have died off a few months back due to my absence.
However.
I cannot morally condone this city to your caretaking. That's just...unbreachable for me.
Saxon, I know you're a good guy, but grammer is rather important to me. If someone takes the time and effort to edit their prose before posting it, it shows they care.
Sorry, but by process of elimination...Chiacutie gets my vote. |

My vote rest with Chinaren, momentarily giving him the lead. I believe he is the most responsible adult to take on being Mayor. Its a tough job, really. If Smee quit, then its really hard. |

Hmmm, tough one.
While Chia and Saxon would probably work towards re-simplification (and Saxon promised crack), more is seen of Chinaren which gives the impression he would have time to do Mayoral Duties and such. And I think he's for the re-simplification anyway.
Maybe I should just toss a coin. Or listen to Flume music until my sanity begins to decay, then pick at random. |

The reason I picked China is because he has been a resident of the site way longer than you Chia. No offense but I believe that he will have a better idea on the workings of the city. Don't think I didn't consider you though, You too Saxon. |

Being mayor is a big, time-consuming job. China seems to have the time and energy to take it up. |

This was lot tougher than I first thought it was going to be...
saxon has some good ideas for the site and is on a lot, but I'm not so sure about how they'd work practically and I f5 IM on spelling/grammer.
chia has a great personanlity but isn't on quite as much as the other two (still a lot though).
china does seem to have the best credentials,my only concern is that he'll have to balance his Mayoral duties with writing x number of sg's at the same time.
Still I think all three would have made good Mayoral candidates having read the threads... I'm going to have to go with my initial favourite China purely because he's on the most and takes the time to support others sg's more than most. Good Luck China :) . |

Ok, I think it's gonna have to be Chinaren.
Don't think it didn't give me a headache during the consideration! |

I voted for Chinaren... He seems to be around most and has been around for long enough to know the City and it's people. |

The polls have closed, and we have a winner! :D With 61% of the vote, chinaren has won the election in the first round.
Congratulations, chinaren, the next Mayor of the City of IF! Thanks also to the other candidates, saxon and chiacutie, who ran positive and informative campaigns that helped inform the voters. And thanks finally to all the citizens who voted and who contributed to the discussion. Once again, the election has been valuable both in the process and the final result.

I hope I can carry on the excellent work Smee has started.
