I think Smur should go look for Draggon. If nothing else, he can tell them there's another tribe trying to kill them, which should ingrate himself in her good books.

You have me hooked since Chapter 1. LOL. Very nicely done, China. The whole description of Smur and the city itself is just so real-like.

It's obvious that Smur needs help, and even though he left Draggon, I think I agree with Lordy here that he should go seek her assistance in translating the spidery looking text.

Look for more artifacts. If they're going to use the stairs and explore each level as they go, they are going to be very tired and out of breath by the time they reach the top. And he is on the 100th level. But 110? Can he go up further and explore? Maybe more useful artifacts or knowledge could be found.
