...And now we come to the second Sponsored Award of this Ceremony. This important Award is sponsored by a tale set in a world where an entire race are mistrusted and shunned because of their special powers. Bound by the strict rules his kind have set upon themselves to assure acceptance to the peoples of the rest of the world, a young boy finds himself the guardian of a potentially deadly secret.

Sponsoring the Best New Storygame/Linear award, is Geek Girl's I DONT BELIEVE IN FATE

By complete coincidence, these two storygames are currently going head to head in this months SGOTM! Both about dark things, these two storygames could not be more different from each other if they tried.

Beyond the Darkness by Smee is a mysterious fantasy tale, following the adventures of Sej, who has been inexplicably thrust into a strange fantasy world.
The Dark is a thriller revolving around the seedier side of life in a futuristic city. It recounts the investigations of Detective Inspector Gloom as he tries to solve the murder of the daughter of a very influential man. Not for the faint hearted.

And the winner is.... The Dark, by The Dark!

This next Award recognises those Storygames that have not yet made it to Storygame of the Month. There were two nominees this year. A Tale of IF II by Chinaren takes us on a lighthearted tour of alternative realities and times, meeting deranged versions of well known IFians on the way.
My Psychosis is a chilling tale by Mephistopheles. It explores the mind of a youth traumatized by the drug related deaths of his friends. The graphic content is not recommended for under-aged or faint hearted.

This was the closest voting so far. With just one vote in it, the winner of Best Non-SGOTM is.....
My Psychosis, by Mephistopheles!

Both nominees for the best plot award this year are historical mysteries. D-Lotus's Confession Box focuses on a murder case, and a Priest's attempts to help the accused by doing his own investigations. Crunchyfrog's Magician's Touch centres around the disappearance of the creator of a new and dangerous technology.

The winner is...The Magician's Touch, by Crunchyfrog!

...And finally in this section, we come to Best Fight.

The nominees for this award were:
Galleons of the Stars, Chapters 5 and 6, by Kalanna Rai.
A Fronte, Chapter 17 by Lordofthenight.

Galleons shows a fight between a young enraged orphan and a powerful ships captain, the dialogue between the two just as anger fueled as their attacks upon one another.

A Fronte describes a fast moving battle between fiercesome warriors and beasts, with deadly consequences.

And the winner of the best fight this year is....A Fronte - Chapter 17, by Lordofthenight!
