Nice chapter, although the description of Gloom scraping body parts off of his clothes was a bit unrealistic.

The room is filled with people being mass produced into zombies. They are in the process of getting their life sucked out of them.

or maybe it is a room in which multiple zombies are being costumed into The Dark. As in, there is an army of Dark ones. Gah, my ideas resemble the attack of the clones, from Star Wars.

or maybe Crush is being filtered into the city's water supply?

It's a kind of inevitability that it's going to be closely related to The Dark.

I'd say it's perverted shrine to all the victims The Dark has had so far - including Gentle, the woman Gloom discovered dead after his trip on crush, and the first victim.

Once again, another great chapter, though, I f5 D, scraping off a kidney seems a bit far fetched, perhaps part of one though...anyways. What is held within this room of horror? An assemblage of various body parts that are being processed for distribution to the afore mentioned zombies? Perhaps it is Darks, attempting to breed with regular women, though some have missed the finer hole for reproduction, in order to create a new breed of monster? or, maybe it is a room filled with cute cuddly puppies that are surrounding a young girl. The puppies get close, and Gloom watches as, when the girl reaches out to pet one, it snaps off three of her fingers, then the others join the fray, tearing apart and devouring the girl whole. that is all i got for now. Maybe something more awful will come to mind later.

It's a room full of failed experiments, who are incidentally still alive. Imagine a dozen of abominations held in a room where they wouldn't make any trouble. There was an anomaly when they were being turned into zombies so they aren't mindless, hollow beasts. They are normal humans with physical deformations. There he could find some of the people he knew, even Gentle. Clones yes, perfect... no. And that's why they were abandoned.
