Welcome!

If you've ever been to an art gallery, this forum should not be an unfamiliar experience. Here is the place to admire the visual artistic work of our IF community, as well as post your own if you have any. It's also a great place to scout talent!

Only three rules:

Post your work within the same thread, so as to keep your art collection contained and organized. This helps everyone keep track of your progression as a whole.

Be civil. All criticism must be respectful.

If your painting contains adult themes, please place a warning at the beginning of your first post.

Once more, I encourage all types of interactivity and inter-artextuality (yup, I just coined that word). Feel free to experiment with art, incorporate it into your storygames, share common themes with other artists within a common thread, etc.

One example of a Storygame centered around art is Argonaut's Scrapyard.

This is a new forum, and such has no firmly established rules or objectives; if you have any ideas you'd like to implement-- such as establishing contests-- and need moderator approval or stickie status, don't hesitate to contact me.

GREAT idea on linking us to scrapyard! This is a great example of what is extremely welcome here in addition to the standard 'maintain an online portfolio' approach. In this sort of example, I can see how we get around the 'keep all your art in one thread' general rule too.

Inter-artexuality... can we get a Webster's style definition on this one? :P

Inter-artextuality: a phony way to say intertextuality with a focus on art. Simply put, using something acquired from another artwork and incorporating it into your own.
