|

Yes, it's the moment you didn't know you were waiting for...the chance to own your very own T-shirt, mug, or other item emblazoned with our City logo and motto...it's the arrival of IFgear!
Go to www.cafepress.com/cityofif to see nine (count 'em!) different items available for purchase, all featuring the City of IF logo, and some with our motto ("Whatever happens, it's partly your fault" - thanks to Phang) or our other motto ("Step into the story" - thanks to Smee). Any item you buy will help support the City.
But that's not all! In the City of IF album there is now a special category for IFgear pictures. If you purchase an IFgear item, take a picture of yourself using/wearing it, and upload it there. I'll choose the top pics and post them at the bottom banner bar. Your likeness will be famous throughout the City!
Check it out!

I don't. The Cafe Press accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. I'm assuming that if you have one of those credit cards, it will do the conversion for you and bill you the equivalent in pounds.
Are those cards common in Europe, or are they all just American? |

No this is America remember. We've supposed to have been hating the French since they made things difficult before we went to war in Iraq.
I mean the stupidity had no end for a while....Freedom Fries I ask you! Personally I wouldn't have minded seeing a few French Penguins advertising MasterCard...Just like I wouldn't have minded Huey Lewis's back up band being called The American Express*...
*That really was their first choice on a title...The News came after when they realized they were probably going to be sued. |

oooh! I could really do with a new mousemat! I have one for some reason from TNT. Don't know who they are, where the mat came from and why on Mars there is two people on it! It's scary.... :( :D
lol. Whitey I'll have a look on my other phone that doesn't work, it has a calculator that converts currency. Is it from dollars to pounds that you want?
By the way...Step into the story doesn't sound right when it's written on underwear! lol! |

Ooh, I come back after a few days absence and there are so many cool new posts! I'll have to, of course, order the bag for my schoolbooks and such... I wonder, though: Is there any way you could get the logo on a babydoll-size shirt? You know, those fitted shirts for girls? 'Cause I'd buy one. :) |

Having my motto on a thong is very unsettling, by the way.
Luckily it's on a black shirt too, which means I don't have to buy the anal garotte. |

No, I like the motto, it's good, just when it's in THAT context... |

Oh yeah...
I think I might get the thong for my girlfriend...
Should be something fun to slingshot across the room.
And...
That's just funny...
"Whatever happens, it's partly your fault..."
God, that's great. Lol |

In what way? I see nothing wrong with humour - it's the oldest and greatest advertising trick in the book and in everything else.

No, they don't have the address on them, but I'm hoping it's intuitive enough. :D |

I did get my t-shirt. But sadly I'm too fat for it.
One day it'll fit me perfectly ... *dreams* :) |

So my wife and I were sitting at home and the conversation turned to what we do with our time online. She loves to read the NY Times, check her email, etc. When I explained my love for the City and storygaming, her response was, "Storygaming? What's that?"
All I want to say is: Thank you, all ye hallowed old IFians, for the world-shattering hilarity of the IFthong. It's so horrible, yet so hilarious... |

hmm... I'm wondering how stock and supply is going with the IF gear. With our new Shops we could establish some very high prices in fable terms for purchasing them, but that could help value the fable some. |

Sure, we can do something like that if you want...maybe run a Fable auction once a month for some item... |

I Think that would help with making Fables more scarce which is a good thing . but my big worry is is having Key having to cover shipping etc. this is an issue but If Key is fine with it thats good but i would like to suggest 1 rule is that once some one wins they are ineligible for the next one that keeps some of the IFians that have fewer fables in play |

What do you mean - what items we should sell? Or what we should write on them? |

I think more often used external gear would be good - things like jackets, hats, and travel mugs.
I also like the motto "step into the story" that was mentioned, because it hints at what we're about. |
