Tips for New Players:
New players can find answers to many of their general storygaming questions by reading the FAQs.
Readers must register and login to vote in the polls or post comments. The players direct the action of a storygame, determining what the author writes and the path the storyline takes.
The author of Finite Cosmos recommends that every player begin with Chapter 1. Much information and the overall structure of the game come from reading each chapter in its entirety. Past polls and results for this storygame are posted with the discussions of each chapter, which are locked topics available only for reading. The author encourages comments, suggestions, ideas and questions on all chapters, which the reader may submit by clicking Reply on the latest chapter’s thread.

Summary of Finite Cosmos:
Chps1,2: Chakra is an impatient and ambitious youth who struggles with self-identity. Envious of her friends, she contemplates learning the Finer Magics practiced by her people, the Diasinians. Based on player responses- She finally decides to seek the advice of others before undertaking a specific life path.
Chp3: She visits the Great Hall of Elders to seek advice, but instead her life gets turned upside down when a wise Thinker appoints her to choose an escort into the Unknown Realm. They must journey far to acquire the Great Knowledge. Based on player responses- Asher, Ordoc, Holden, and Seani shall accompany the White Witch and Chakra.
Chp4: Chakra chooses a group of her friends to accompany the Wise White Witch and herself into the Unknown Realm. Asher, a Coarse Magician, leads the group. Ordoc, a slightly older Coarse Magician, accompanies them also, along with Seani, a Finer Magician; Holden, a Coarse Magician of dark magics; and Knute, a Coarse Magician who is also the younger brother of Ordoc. Based on player responses- The group first travels to the sea people to trade.
Chp5: The group first travels to the undersea city of Oekarakos, where the city’s government forces Chakra’s friend Aanira to make a grievous sacrifice. Aanira undergoes a life-altering transformation in order to leave the MotherSea, rendering her incapable of returning home. She can aid the group with her knowledge in the use of potions and charms. Based on player responses- Aanira makes her sacrifice and joins the group.
Chp6: The group then travels to the Mainland, where they engage in sporting battles to earn the gifts of the del-Nordes pack. Seeking the advice of the Wise One, our heroine develops her subtle talents as a Thinker. Based on player responses- Chakra must conquer her fears and participate in a sporting battle against a skillful opponent.
Chp7: The del-Nordes pack bestows valuable gifts on the victors of the battles. Taking leave of the pack, Chakra engages the Wise White Witch in an enlightening conversation, resulting in the furtherance of Chakra’s talents as a Thinker, and physical growth. The group treks through the muggy forest, crossing the territory of an unfriendly pack, until a great canyon blocks their path. Based on player responses- The group travels west along the edge of the canyon.
Chp8: Chakra learns that the Great Knowledge may offer a glimpse at the end of the world. A vicious swarm of small predatory creatures that live inside the canyon walls attacks the party, resulting in Holden’s mastery of the powerfully black magic Oblivion. Based on player responses- The Wise White Witch, the weakest and most defenseless member of the group, receives the worst assault.
Chp9: The Wise White Witch passes into the Beyond, while Chakra remains trapped in an out-of-body experience. An emotionally charged love-triangle incites a deadly struggle between two members of the group. Based on player responses- Chakra re-enters her body and awakens to stop the fight.
Chp10: Awakening and stopping the fight, Chakra opens herself to the visions of the Keeper, and struggles with a friend that fate has twisted into a stranger. Based on player responses- Chakra takes a more active approach to guiding the group, and insists that they travel to a tree village that she saw in her vision.
Chp11: Crossing the Wyld River and making their way along a narrow winding stream towards the tree village, the group rests in a grassy field, content to be free of the humid forest of the Mainland. Aanira approaches Chakra with a troublesome concern. Based on player responses- Chakra divides the group and sends a scouting party ahead to meet the tree people.
Chp12: Aanira fears prejudice from the tree people. Although Chakra doesn’t fully understand, she sympathizes with her friend and decides to split the group, leaving Aanira and a few others behind while she travels with Knute and Ordoc to meet the tree people. Chakra explores the nature of her black magic in a more personal manner than she’d allowed before, and struggles to control her feelings about her power. She awakens from a disturbing dream to a genuine plea for help, which only she and Holden appear to hear. Based on player responses- She investigates the source of the cries with Holden.
Chp13: Chakra and Holden defeat a chained demon- the source of the cries for help, but questions remain as to its origins and intent. Based on player responses- She decides to inquire about the creature cautiously after making contact with the tree village.
Chp14: The people of the tree village drug Chakra and her friends. She is brainwashed into believing that she is Tesla, a slave. Through visions from the Keeper and help from Holden, she discovers her true identity, but finds that she has been seperated from her companions. Based on player responses- Chakra continues as Tesla to try and find out more without revealing her new awareness.
Chp15: Holden has become even more violent and disturbing, but seems to be Chakra's only chance at escaping the life of Tesla. Based on player responses- Chakra connects with Holden to find out what he knows.
Chp16: Chakra follows Holden towards the portal that will take them into the city of Aetna. The Keeper presses her to accept a vision, but Chakra remains uncertain whether she wants to meekly follow Holden or strike out on her own. Based on player responses- Chakra accepts the vision and follows Holden through the portal.
Chp17: Chakra and Holden exit the portal into Aetna's underworld, then make their way to the surface city and into the Unknown Realm. Based on player responses- Chakra goes for the knowledge rather than choosing to try and find her friends or warn the people of Diasis of potential danger.
Chp18: The Great Knowledge foretells the end of the world, and Chakra wallows in a sea of despair. Based on player responses- Chakra will attempt to contact the Dreamers.
