The New Age!
Today marks a new milestone in the City of IF. Teams of slaves descended on the City overnight, spurred on by specially designed barbed whips taken from Key's private dungeons, and working to a cunning plan have transformed IF.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, Stubby, the brains behind the project said: “Thank <censored> that is done, now all I have to do is get my Fables and I am out of here.”
Kingky was quoted as saying he felt very happy the upgrades were complete, and hoped that the city would appreciate the hard work that has gone into it all.
Citizens expressed delight at the change, stating it was a new era in the long history of IF, and please could you remove the pincers now?
The long awaited revamp sees the city zones clearly labeled, with the revamped Favorites (see last issue) now featured prominently. The editor would like to remind all citizens to update their favorites regularly, especially those written by Chinaren.
Further enhancements will be added shortly, to make the City of IF a gleaming wonder of the world.
Review Board Raises Standards.
That most holy of Mayors, Smee, has today announced the all new New Storygame Review Board!
Henceforth all new SGames wishing to enter the hallowed gates of one of the SGame Forums will be subject to stern discipline!
The new SGame in question will be passed to a team of cracked, sorry, crack reviewers, and made to stand against a wall legs akimbo for some rough internal inspection.
Just in case some enjoy this a little too much, a fee of 500Fables must also be submitted to the City Treasury. 300 of these will be refunded should the SGame pass muster.
The subject of Quality SGames has been discussed, sometimes heatedly, by the City Council, and this measure has generally been approved by all, with hardly any arm twisting.

Our illustrious Mayor has been scheming again! However, this time his plans have not been on how to take advantage of the working girls in Muaddib's district whilst the proprietor is busy, but to announce the three Ps!
The PPP is a new incentive to increase participation, and it comes with big big prizes! Entry couldn't be easier, so head on down to the PPP office now, and register quickly! 1000Fatbacks as well as a custom designed Chinaren Hall medal could be yours!

The recent quiet in the city appears to be coming to an end, as several well known citizens crawl, stumble and shamble back to their abodes.
Ingro, last seen heading downriver on a plank some months ago, expressed his delight at being back. The ever nefarious Thracia Alba also popped her head up, promising again that the Greatest Story was not lost. Finally the Rave and Wing twins returned from distant shores and started babbling something about Broken glass.
With old citizens pouring in after the summer break, and new citizens joining the throng, the city has begun to look like its old self once again. (Although now much sparklier of course).

Dear Me!
June's StoryGame of the Month competition was won by Power's Dear Dotty, after a three way fight. Powers expressed satisfaction with the win, which many have said is long overdue.
This month is another three horse race, with another old lag, the unpronounceable A Fronte Praecipitium a Tergo Lupi by Lord of the Night once more in the running. It has strong competition though, with Geek Girls relative newcomer: I Don't Believe in Fate striving for recognition. Finally in an unlikely turn of events, Chinaren's long overlooked First Against the Wall also makes an appearance.
I predict a close race, so get on down to the City Auditorium and cast your vote now!
Mod moves.
IQ would like to congratulate newcomer JezSharp to the City Council. Jez will take over from our much beloved Muaddib, who is rumored to be taking a long trip to AHA. Jez has settled in to the newly built Tourist Office where he is presiding with ruthless efficiency.
Smee Wrests the Title.
Our beloved Mayor managed to tear away the Linear Story of the Month belt from Powers, and has been seen wearing it all over the city. The new contest is up, and entries are needed! Slip yours in here!
