Site Policies
Below are the rules that we follow as keepers
of the City of IF, and the rules that we expect our city visitors
to follow:
The Forums
All posts made in the forum express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people). While the administrators and moderators of the forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message.
You may not post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. By participating in the forums, you agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit.
Storygames with mature themes or violence may sometimes be posted on the forums. Storygame authors are asked to post warnings when their stories contain material inappropriate for children; however, we cannot guarantee that any inappropriate material will have a warning, and so we recommend that parents monitor their children's viewing at City of IF.
The forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure.
Privacy
Any information you submit to the forums
(such as your posts and the details of your online profile) will be
stored in our database. We will not share this information with any
third party, and you may delete it at any time through the appropriate
functionality on the forums.
We do not share your email address with any third party. The forum
software allows other forum users to send messages to your email without
knowing your email address. If you receive unwanted email in this
way, please contact the forum administrator (key@cityofif.com). If
you sign up for the forums or purchase a product from us, we may add
you to our email newsletter. You can always unsubscribe from this
newsletter.
If you purchase a product from us, we will also store your name, address, and email address in our database. We will not store your credit card information. In fact, we will never even have your credit card information. All credit card transactions are handled by PayPal.
Shipping
Orders for books are generally shipped within 1-2 days. However, inventory shortages or other unavoidable circumstances may occasionally result in a longer time to ship. We will always post our estimated time to ship on the details of the book page. If the actual time to ship exceeds the estimate by more than a week, we will inform you and give you the option of canceling your order or continuing to wait.
Within the U.S., books are shipped via US Postal Service Media Mail, and may take 1-2 weeks to arrive. Outside of the U.S., books are shipped via a variety of methods depending on the country, and may also take 1-2 weeks to arrive.
Returns
Unused books may be returned with 30 days
for a full refund of the purchase price. Shipping and handling charges
are non-refundable. To return a book, contact customerservice@cityofif.com.
