| It makes sense that the people filming this would have trackers on everybody, in case somebody got out of reach of the cameras. But if one of the contestants has a tracker, you're probably screwed whichever way you go. They can just wait till you're asleep and find you wherever you are.

"Hey, Maria, We're heading for the woods."
"We are?"
"Err....yeah."
"Listen. Kind man. Why do you trust me?"
"What? "
"Well, you give me a gun, You help me, and put yourself at risk. Why?"
"Dunno. I guess I'm the trusting type."
"I could have shot you in the back."
"But you didn't."
Maria smiled. It was one of the very few nice things on this island.
"I guess I'm also the trusting type." She replied. "You could have killed me as well."
"Come to think of it, we're a couple of idiots."
"Well, at least I can be idiot with someone else who won't kill me."
"Yeah. I'll drink to that."
"Hmmm?"
"Oh, old expression."
By the time they reached the woods, it was the afternoon. The sun peeked through the treetops, illuminating a delicate dirt path. THey followed this, trying their best not to leave foot prints. Eventually, they left the track altogether. Soon, they reached what looked like an old campfire. Its old owner was careless, neglecting to extinguish the flames properly, the fire was still smouldering. They were still close! Lucian cocked his gun, as they could hear something ahead. He decided what his next move would be.

Lucian crouched silently, and nodded for Mariah to keep low, he then sprang out in front of the stranger and fired at the legs, the person swore as they fell. Lucian looked down. "Travis?"
"Travis was my buddy in College."
Travis was leaning on Lucian as they walked, he winced with pain. It seemed they really need to reach the Weather station now......
"Travis, what are you doing here?"
"I was unemployed...........and depressed. I thought, at least if I join this, I'll take some people down with me." He grinned.
Lucian laughed. "Travis. You are one Crazy bastard, you don't care I shot you?"
"Hey, If I were in your position, I'd have shot to kill."
Lucian nodded, and they continued.
It took them three hours, but they reached there. Mariah laughed, Lucian had a look of relief on his face. Travis was puzzled.
"What is it?"
"It's a weather station. THere;s supplies in there, that'll last us the rest of the game!"
"Oh. Cool."
"Travis, you don't sound very happy."
"Well, I have thrown up twice. I think I lost a wee bit too much blood back there."
"Oh Fuck."
"Don't sweat it. You said it yourself, we're safe right? I mean, what could possibly go wrong now?"
Yuri, gripped his piece of wood tightly, he had waited long enough. Now he would kill. He looked around. The city seemed to be deserted. But he heard something, a whimper, from the warehouse nearby. He strode over.
Zack held his breath as that scary looking guy came over, he had a knife gripped firmly in his hands, as he waited behind the open door, he was about to punce when a wooden club smashed into his face.
His opponent was down. Yuri looked at the sprawling man, blood ran down his badly cut and mauled face. He picked him up and slammed his head against the wall. Yuri then looked around as his opponent sobbed. A screw driver? It would have to do, as his club had exploded on impact. He was emotionless as he drove the tool through his enemie's eye. THe man tried to run, the handle still sticking out his eye, but something caused him to stop. He was looking at the woman in front of him. Wield an SMG. Yuri watched as the bullets thudded into his opponent's chest, and the man fell backwards. He and the woman met eye contact. It lasted five agonising seconds. Then, the fight began. And what a fight it would be.
"Hey Travis.......'85, remember that shit?"
"Yeah. We sat up all night with joints and vodka, watching anime, that was great."
"Those were the days. Until you dropped out. I got a job, and lost track of you."
Mariah felt out of place, between these two friends, she felt like a stranger. They had all the supplies they needed. And planned to stay for as long as possible. She walked into the kitchen, and heard two things, a bump on the roof, and a scrape on the sides of the building. Which should she investigate?
Where should Mariah look?
a)The side of the building?
b)The roof?

Yeah, tell Lucian and Travis. Then one can stay put(Lucian because i dont think he would be much use fighting the way he is at the moment), one can go on the roof and the other round the side of the building. It would be stupid too go out there on your own.

And Trevor can't go anywhere, Lucian can. Have Lucian get to the roof and Marie go out after he's told her. Like, in 2 mins go out, i'll be on the roof then. "What? You sure?"
"Two people at least!"
"Okay, keep your voice down, where are they?"
"One outside, one on roof..."
"Okay, I'll check the roof. Stay low and quiet. If I don't come back, don't come after me."
Mariah nodded silently. Lucian loaded his gun, and ventured outside. The night air was crisp and clean, and Lucian's breath was clearly visible as he walked around to inspect the roof, trying to keep low.

Lucian walked around to an old dumpster, and used it to look up onto the roof. As he poked his head up, he saw a man, in his hands was that familiar sawn-off shotgun. Gunfire could be heard in the distance, Koushun was distracted, looking off to where the firing had come from. A wild looking man strode out from the trees, he was joined by a woman, in her hands was a smoking SMG.
"Remind me why we're helping each other."
"We don't want anyone else to spoil a final fight."
"Ah yes, thank you for reminding me. Until then, we help each other."
Yuri smiled, he pulled a long butcher knife out from his coat, and he sprinted forward, the woman providing covering fire. Lucian was forced to duck to avoid being seen, as he did so, he saw more people emerging from the woods. The other contestants? Lucian felt a vibration coming from his pocket. He pulled out what looked like one of those state-of-the-art mini-computers. On it was a message. It read like this:
SURPRISE!
Hello Lucian! As a new rule, all contestants are given a PDA to notify them of events on the island. Most namely, your little hidey-hole. All contestants, except for KOushun, Yuri, and Naomi have been told there is a secret cahce of weaponry and supplie at the weather station, as well as directions to reach them, etc. No-one knows there will be opther people at the same location. Except for Y, K, and N.
PS: Watch out for Y K and N, they are taking this very seriously.

Great! I'm glad you carried on writing this one. I always loved watching (and reading) The Running Man.

Not quite sure about the change of rules, though. It seems just a little bit forced. That's just my opinion.
I think it could work, though, if you made it clear that the rule-change is only because you're down to a certain number of contestants now, so the game's stepping up a bit. (Note: that would also tell the readers how far into the game they are, which could be a very good thing.)
Whichever way you decide to go, keep writing. I like this story

| I'd say stay with the other two for now, and retreat out of immediate harm's way. The alliance still seems to be holding and the best thing they can do is to stay out of the firing line until they get the opportunity to pick their own turf.

| Ah, forgot to explain that. I guess when the contestants were drugged, PDAs were slipped into their pockets, and the willing contestants were handed them at the start of the competition. The reason for this will, like I said, become clear.

Lucian made his way quickly back into the station, and started gathering supplies.
"Lucian? What happening?"
"The others have been lured here, it's be a bloodbath, we have to leave."
Travis looked at Lucian. "Listen, Lucian, what if we just stay put and fight, we have the upperhand..."
"We don't, Travis, we are outnumbered, and there are some real fucking psychos out there! We are leaving!"
Lucian frantically went back to looking for supplies.
Koushun could hear voices below, over the gunfire. His prey would not escape now. Koushun took the grenades he had taken from one Bruce Malmsteen (Contestant 15) and surveyed them. He smiled as he saw the words INCEDINARY printed on them, and slid down from the wall, oblivious to the incoming gunfire. He smashed a window, pulled a pin, and threw a small object into the building.
Lucian turned. "Oh Goddam......."
As Koushun calmly walked away from the building, a flames violently erupted from the window. He cocked his shotgun and started firing.
Yuri ducked and weaved, his knife glinting in the moonlight. He approached Elise DuPont (Contestant 7) and before she could scream, she had fallen to the floor, a wooden handle poking from her neck. Yuri walked away triumphant with his prize, a Smith&Wesson revolver.
Lucian got up and looked around the smoke filled room, he had managed to evade the blast, but what about Maria and Travis? Lucian readied his AK and ventured into another corridor. Maria could be seen squatting in a corner, trying to sheild her eyes from the smoke, the grenage must have hit a gas boiler, as pretty much the whole building had gone up. Lucian grabbed her, and led her out to the back door. he then ventured back in.
"Travis? Travis!" Lucian screamed above the din, in an effort to find his comrade. Lucain braved the flames until he found the prone figure of Travis in the room where the grenade had gone off. Lucian dragged him to the outside, the other contestants getting nearer, luckily, Koushin had left, engaging other contestants. Maria looked at Travis, who was struggling to breathe, probably from inhaling smoke. THere were burns on various parts of his body. As Maria checked Travis out, Lucain checked their surroundings, his face blackened and glistening with sweat. Travis tried to speak.
"L...Lucian, I'm not gonna get outta this one..."
"You are, try to save your breath Travis..."
Travis smiled. "We had some fun, didn't w..."
Travis was interrupted as he head was flung to one side. It had virtually exploded, and a large hole was where his left temple should be. Maria was sat there, a look of surprise, with her mouth hanging open, covered in Travis's blood. She slowly looked to her left, where she saw a wild man pointing a smoking revolver at her. "NO!" screamed Lucain as he saw this, causing Yuri to concentrate on Lucain instead. He aimed at Lucain, and a shot could be heard. Lucian winced, but soon realised he ahdn't been hit. He saw Yuri lying on the floor, his back had several red holes on it, a small trail of smoke coming rising from each one. A woman stood behind him with a smoking SMG. She smiled as she opened fire again. Lucain felt a burning sensation as he was forced to the ground, thrown backwards. He let out a groan as he looked at the sky.
Quia looked at her fallen foes, she then aimed her SMG at the woman kneeling near someone Yuri had killed, she was about to pull the trigger, when she heard something behind her, she turned, and saw a Japanese man staring right into her eyes, right into her soul... A hard blow came to her face and she fell. She looked at her aggressor, but instead saw the menacing black barrells of a shotgun, she closed her eyes, awaiting the final blow.
BANG
That was the last thing Quia ever saw.
Maria looked at the various people littered around her, Travis was cead, a grey substance oozing form the other side of his head where the bullet had exited. Yuri was face down nearby, stiff as a plank, and Lucian was barely moving nearby, his chest and stomach punctured by three bullets. The woman with the SMG, well, Maria flt sick even looking at what had happened to her, a shotgun did atrocious things to human heads at point-blank range. She had a second until the Japanese man killed her too. What should she do?

Maria looked at Lucian. He wasn't quite dead, moaning and trying to move. She then looked at the SMG. It was halfway between Koushun and herself. If she went for it, she might get shot as soon as she reached it. She tensed. Koushun looked at Maria and raised his gun. Maria darted forward.
Gunshots.
Koushun was sent backwards as Maria grabbed the SMG. She raised the gun as Koushun got up and raised his shotgun. Blood splattered on his shirt where two gunshot wounds weeped the familiar red liquid openly. He had a face of anger and surprise. Maria sqeezed the trigger.
The Recoil was much more than she was prepared for, but the bullets tore into Koushun and he fell backwards. He fell onto his back, but still managed to get up, his chest was covered in blood now, and a trail trickled out of his mouth. His arms felt like lead, but he lifted the shotgun a third time. Maria crouched down, was scared stiff, but opened fire again. Koushun was thrown like a ragdoll, spinning and landing face down in the dirt. As he span, the shotgun went off, wether it discharged, he meant to fire it, or due to rigor-mortis was uncertain, but Maria could feel the buckshot graze her arm. She dropped the SMG. She was confused, tired, and distressed. Who had opened fire on Koushun when she went for the SMG? She looked around, Lucian was looking at Yuri, who lay there. Yuri held a smoking pistol in his hands. He pulled himself up. Panting, he suddenly spoke.
"I remember..."
As he said this, he was thrown forwards, Maria caught him as he fell. His eyes were cold and dead. Behind him stood that familiar suit... illuminated by a bright light. The bright light belonged to a jeep, which carried soldiers. The instructor was here, holding his own gun.
"I took the liberty of finishing Yuri off for you Maria! I trust you're well!"
Maria was trmebling as she held Yuri's body. She dropped him with a thud, keeping the same expression fixed on her face.
Lucian's vision was blurred, but when Koushun was killed, he noticed something roll over on the ground. He grabbed it slowly as the jeep arrived, and Yuri was killed.
"W...what about the others?"
"All dead! They all managed to wipe each other out during your little meeting here! I tell a lie, we killed a few, they were dying anyway."
"Y...you enjoy this?"
"Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!"
Soldiers stripped Maria of her weapons. She was led to the jeep.
"As a prize for living this far, you are granted the gift of life. We'll make sure you reach a new-supplied home, where is it Wilson?"
"Siberia sir."
"Siberia? You lucky woman!"
Lucian held the object in his hand, he held it close to his chest. It was a metal cylinder, on it the words INCEDINARY could be made out.
A tear rolled down Maria's cheek as she was loaded onto the jeep. Then, her eyes met Lucian's. He was crying too, but he had a smile on his face. The insructor saw this. "Finish him off."
Two soldiers walked over, they were dressed in woodland camo, and carried assault rifles and pistols, hired by the company to keep order. One cocked his pistol and aimed it at Lucian's head.
Lucian pulled the pin.
The flash was blinding, flame erupted in all directions. Maria took her chance and leapt from the Jeep, the men ran from where Lucian was, screaming and trying to extinguish the inferno that engulfed their bodies and sizzled their flesh. Maria ran in the confusion, and picked up Koushun's fallen shotgun. She aimed and fired, in the confusion and noise, no-one noticed the man fall, the familiar blue suit stained crimson. The soldiers rallied, and fired as Maria ran for the trees. The fire's smoke trailed up into the sky, and thus the worst 24 hours of Maria's life ended. It was exactly midnight.
POSTMORTEM
Subject: Yuri78432
Cause of Death: Gunshot wounds to the back, administered by Game officials
Coroner's notes: It appears subject was member of an organisation against the game and its organisation. This organisation is responsible for many terrorist attack against the game. When he was subdued with the Game's exclusive tranquiliser, Midas30, it reacted with traces of Heroin in his blood. This caused acute brain damage, and loss of memory. Reports and witnesses how that extreme stress, in this case being shot, cuased the effect to lessen. This will need to be investigated further.

Cause of Death: Gunshot wounds to lungs and heart
Coroner's notes: This one put up a fight, that was for sure, he had so much lead in him I could sharpen his dick and use him as a pencil.
Subject: Lucian68493
Cause of Death: Suicide, Incedinary grenade detonated at close range. Subject burned to death.
Coroner's notes: When the body wa sbrough in, there was so little to work with, I needed eye-witness reports to determine exact cause of death. I'll never eat barbecue again.
Subject: Maria68594
Cause of death:
Coroner's notes: The soldiers hired to subdue contestants report subject murdered a Game official. When she fled, I was assured she'd been hit, and that she would die by any of the Causes of Death listed within days. Subject has been abandoned on Island. My guess is, she's been dead for at least an hour.
The report continues, listing all causes of death. The Coroner washes his hands and locks up. As he drives hom from work, he feels something on the back of his head.
"Drive. Take me to this address."
Maria holds the gun tight, keeping it trained on the coroner's head.
The car drives off into the mist.
