Back In Motion
After a most horrible slump in the land of IF, a low buzz of activity has started up again. Hopes for the future are high, and the presses are running again. We can only do our best and perhaps the 'Slump' shall never again drift through our city!
Halloween Parade
Story by: PopeAlessandrosXVIII
Once again Rover took a tour around the city on all hallows eve and managed to capture shots of several of our residence in the evil best. It was quite a show and even this editor is still shuddering at the memories of the horrors that walked the streets that night. So, without further ado, the Halloween Parade. . . . . . .

Linear Lane Looky Loo
Story by PopeAlessandrosXVIII
Well well well, we seem to be seeing a decent amount of activity over in Linear Lane, how about we take a peek at what's been cooking!
It's once again time for the Spotlight Competition! One of the longest held and most beloved competitions here in the City. The grand prize of your own forum and a place on the front page are sought after with much vigor by many local IFians, but only one Storygame will come out on top! Soon, the voting will commence, but will you be an informed voter? Do you even know which Storygames are vying for a position in the Spotlight? Well, to help you out we've put together a nifty little list below to link you directly to the participating tales!
Time for some catching up, or if caught up already, some hard looking at these epic tales, and figure out which one is the most epic of all . . .

Story by PopeAlessandrosXVIII
Pulling now from the Poetry Competition Word, here are several entries from the competitions.
The story of my life Vishal Muralidharan
Born in a land of love and bliss,
living 'rich' among the poor,
Wake up and wait for my morning kiss,
but pleasure seems to disappear,
'cause I see fellow citizens fight,
and that brings me down to tears,
Nothing ever seems to go alright,
and I live in fear
Lived 16 years in my land among a 100 million men,
where a majority can't get their bread, and sleep in the sand,
But the positives are too long to list and write off of my pen,
Always wipes the tears off your face, So I love this land,
Funny thing this life is, can leave you very confused,
I was pushed out of my mother's womb,
And the world really left me amused,
In a century or so, I'm pushed into my own tomb
No Title crazybookgal
The ties that bind us pull us back
Everything of the present is ready to attack
But the future is a golden bird
Beckoning us, the call we heard
In what is to come we do elate
And this little bird, its name is Fate.
Tiger - Cyberworm
Lost in stripes, found in eyes
Weak yesterday, tomorrow we strive
Today is yellow between two blacks
Filling of the cracks in the mirage of the cat
Some stand right, strong and proud
Some fall down, and still too loud
Among the echoes, the silence is my prey
Even though I wander, still I never stray
Only water can show my true reflection
Nature hides my shape from any close inspection
Walking on two feet, different, you can see
But what you cannot see, you're quite like me...
The Hell Where Youth and Laughter Go - HalfEmptyHero
All shall see them, and some may know,
But few will notice, where they go.
Their soulless faces, and forgotten eyes,
Forever stand, in one final guise.
And what have you, to say of this,
You who lie, and live in bliss?
Do you, with laughter, earn your wage,
Are you an actor, upon a stage.
I knew one once, both shy and bright,
Who had never even, been in a fight.
He wanted no more, than for you to see,
Why he fights, and why they flee.
But now he's gone, away to die,
To foreign lands, and a foreign sky.
Ever hungry, and full of dread,
Soon your hero, will be dead.
So as his brothers pass by, in sullen gloom,
Marching onward, to imminent doom,
And while you laugh, and sing, and play,
Remember this boy, remember this day.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return. - Leonardo da Vinci
