Here's a list of the different colors in RIB and their meanings.

It's important to know that I am only refering to basic colors here. A darker shade usually represents that a character is "bad" and a lighter shade shows a character is "good." Just because a person is a color does not necessarily mean they are all of these attributes, just one or two.

RED- aggressive, bloodthirsty, courageous, energetic in a more violent way, passionate, angry, hatefule, firey violent, negative, dangerous, honorable, a leader

ORANGE- Flamboyant, Wild in a violent way, crazed

YELLOW- happy, warm, bright, cowardly, weak, child-like, energetic in a hyper way

GREEN- Natural, down-to-earth, healthy, positive, envious, hopeful, calm, growing, wild in an earthy way

BLUE- Melancholy, sad, spiritual, intelligent, wise, depressed, anxious, lethargic, powerful, serious

VIOLET- harmonious, visionary, artistic, ill, royal, deathly, formal

BROWN- earthy, greedy

GOLD AND SILVER- Gold is transcendant and holy, while silver is more aloof and cool, but both are considered "higher colors"

BLACK- just plain evil and all the things that go with it. Thereoretically, someone could have a black aura, but it has never happened as far as the Organization knows.

WHITE- Like black, only good instead of evil.

GRAY- gray is the absence of color. A gray person will follow any command given to him/her without question. It does not occur naturally. Gray people are basically mindless zombies.

As for the other colors, you'll have to figure it out.

More reference material is to come as the story progresses!

A quick side note on colors. The "in between" shade are just combinations of other colors and thus they share qualities, though people will never share oppisite qualities. People are hardly ever purely one color.

Also, if the SG says this color "tinged" with that color or something to that effect, it means that the person's color is changing for whatever reason. As colors represent a person's basic personality, some things, such as traumatic events, will change someone's color.

Most of the times, people act according to their basic colors, but auras only represent a tendency to do so. Just because someone is blue does not mean they are incapable of anger, and just because someone is red does not mean they will never be sad.

An interesting fact to note is that you can sometimes guess someone's career based on their colors. Green people tend to be environmentalists, doctors, nurses, or so on. Red people tend to be more tyrannical leaders, blue tend to be more subtle, benevolent rulers. The list goes on and on.

A quick note on a person's natural key.

A person's key is like their blood-type*. It really doesn't affect anything about the personality if they are, say, a D minor opposed to a B minor.

HOWEVER, the major/minor key is important. Majors are dominant personalities, and most often in positions of control. Minors are more submissive in life and tend to be more relaxed and like to avoid conflict

*Interestingly enough, a person's key is an indicator of their blood-type. Es are usually A+, Bs are usually AB-, Gs are usually O+, As are usually B-, and so on. All Artists have the same blood-type- O-

Now I'd like to make a comment on keys, being one of those people who happen to have absolute pitch. :?

I'm having trouble understanding your ideas of people's natural keys corresponding to blood types and personalities but what I really do find refreshing is the way you describe events using pitch.

Quote: The plate she was carrying sailed out of her hands and into the air, flashing a cobalt blue and crashing on the ground with a jarring B major.

I've never read descriptions of sound in terms of keys before and it gives a whole new dimension to your world - at least for me, anyway.
