City of IF

Hey guys,

So now I've graduated and am getting ready for college. Unfortunately, getting ready for college constitutes a few things on my part that, I'm sorry to say, include letting IF go for a little while.

These past few weeks have been filled with nonstop graduation parties and the rest of the summer holds mission trips, trips to North Dakota, trips to Washington, trips to Canada, and tons of work to be done before I move away from home.

Then, I'll be at college, spending hours in the studio working on buildings or in the theatre trying to land that perfect part.

The truth of the matter is, I won't have time for IF.

I'm sorry to leave now, with the IFys only halfway over and my SGs not completed, and I do plan to complete them as normal short stories. But I've done half of the IFys and the rest is just polls and deadlines, which I'm sure someone else can put together. As for my SGs, hopefully they'll win something ;) .

So I'm off to pursue my future and to eventually change the world. The skills I've learned in IF over the last three years are invaluable and the people I've met, even more so. But I have to get ready for the next phase of my life.

And who knows? I came back once, maybe I'll do it again.

mmm... I believe you will return, as I'm in college aswell and I occupy my life learning new things, as I've only learned that a gofer exists and I learned about them this year. Go for this, Do that, We'll you sound like you want to be in the theatres, good for you, don't be afraid to let your emotions out. :) I've got only 6 months left of college and I can't wait to start work. :P I want to be a make up artist, those are the people who make-up the actors. Stay cool when your at college, you might meet a few people who thinks their better than you, just forgive them everyday... :lol: hope there are an induction week for you guys, you'll have loads of fun if that is there.

Congratulations, Alegria! Good for you! You've been a great asset to IF over the past 4 years and you'll be greatly missed. I didn't get to participate in your earlier storygames but your more recent ones I have found inspiring.

Go forth, RL awaits! Good luck with the next stage of your studies, and I hope you do well.

If and when RL allows I hope you'll still find the time to stop by, you know you'll always get a warm welcome.

Whatever happens, wherever life takes you, you make sure you keep writing too!

Ah yes, college days. A time of lechery and alcohol. And perhaps a little bit of study, though I seem to recall it was a distant third. It's all a long time ago and most of it was seen through a beer induced haze. :?

We'll miss you here, Alegria, and hopefully you return sooner rather than later.. but in the meantime, have a GREAT first year out there in the second ring of almost real life!*


* (the center of the ring being little kid-dom, the first ring being the whole school-universe and the outer core being the boring/exciting/billpaying/mortgaging/blah blah blah after getting out in the World Proper and no longer having summer vacation. Unless you are a teacher in which case you are, of course, a jerk. That is all. hee hee.)
