From random inspiration by Tatty's new SG, and as it is officially December now.
An early Happy Christmas to everyone* from me :
~
Twas the night before If-mas, when all though the City,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a Tikky.
The stockings were hung, although Kalanna did cheat,
How can it be fair, when her socks fit dragon feet!
Wormy was nestled all snug in his thong,
Whilst Tatty did snore as if composing a song.
Surrounded by paper and ink and his pens,
Kang slumbered easily, limbs all abends.
Curled up by a fire, a Skitty did purr,
And Stoat snuggled deeper within glossy fur.
A bright Thunderbird dozed whilst stood on his perch,
Mirel, all sleepy, escaped a brief nightmare with a lurch.
When out in the street there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Down from my tower, an orange blur I did see,
Shoot past the Inn and near hit a tree.
"Chinaren?" I questioned, as I peered in the black
"No, just a Traveller," the answer cried back.
Stifling a yawn, I went back to bed,
Just missing sight of a reindeer-pulled sled.
Santa flew by, with a present laden sleigh,
Boxes and parcels sticking out every which way.
Held tight in one hand was a list of good names,
Ifians not on there can just swallow their blames.
Now Emperor! now, Booky! now, Reiso and Key!
On, Cho! On, Crunchy! on, on Deady and Smee.
Presents for all, spread out the cheer,
In the City of IF, where we spent all year!
