Chapter 1 - Tower.
The story opens with our 'hero' Smur, a deformed figure, creeping through an abandoned tower to a secret meeting with his estranged daughter.
Avoiding the Shades, foul spirit creatures from the realms of the dead, he meets her, only to have an argument which results in her running off.
Returning to his hidey hole, Smur waits until morning, when he sets off through the ruins of the city to a mysterious tower. Finding a way in, he gathers a sackful of loot, inluding a rare energy weapon left from the time of the ancients.
However, upon his exit he sees a strange man and woman outside. Not only is the woman more than suitable for breeding, they have a donkey and a powerful firestick!
Still, attacking them would be a risk. He considers his options.

Chapter 2 - Plunder and Peril.
Attack! The loot is too valuable to pass up.
Smur fires his new weapon and kills the man, but the woman proves more difficult. A short fight ensues, in which the donkey is killed, before he manages to capture the woman.
However, before he can reap the benefit of his victory, a horde of viscious Spits arrive on the scene, forcing the two to flee through a wall of dangerous Yellow Haze.
They escape the Haze, but are knocked out.
Smur and woman awake to find it is night, and the night is a dangerous place to be outside...

Chapter 3 - Mindstorm.
Smur holds tight to the woman, who's name is Draggon. Trying to reassure her, he learns she is from a tribe looking for a legendary haven, were blue skies can still be seen.
Smur laughs at this, and manages to knock her out, intent on using her body for his own pleasure. Unfortunately, searchers from her tribe intrude, and he is forced to flee.
Escaping back to his hole, he finds a member of his old tribe searching around.
Smur takes him by suprise and, before he kills the man, learns some distressing news. His daughted is gone! Taken by some strange shadow creature.
Remembering something Draggon said, he resolves to find out more about this new threat. He has to save his daughter!

Chapter 4 - Bis'p.
The only one who he knows has information is the Bis'p. An old enemy from the tribe.
Sneaking in under the cover of dark, Smur risks his life entering the camp and locating the fat man.
However, his efforts may be for naught, as the Bis'p tells him the books he needs are in the treasure tent of the Head man, Rendolf.
Smur must retrieve them, but how?

Chapter 5 - Ankles.
It's time to use the Bis'p. Crippling his old enemy, Smur uses the man as a distraction to get into the tent. Using his new firestick to deal with the guard.
There isn't much time though, as this alerts the camp and the Shades both!

Chapter 6 - The Tower Revisited
Smur finds the book and makes a perious escape, but Rendolf is not happy, and commits the resources of the tribe to finding him.
Smur's happiness at stealing the book is short lived, as it is in a strange text. However, a symbol on the cover is the same as one he saw in the tower.
He returns to the tower, but he is followed by Rendolf and some of his men.
Hiding in a room near the top, Smur considers what he must now do...
