Hi all!
Well i, personally, am a huge fan of HEM and have some great ideas for getting the ball rolling.... one of which is to announce the following competition...
Write a piece of prose (limmerick, haiku, anything) about our fair city of IF. 
It doesnt have to be a parody or anything humouress - this is a miscellaneous forum as well, so angst away if you so desire - as long as its IF related - it could be based on a SG you are writing, a fellow IFian, or even something obscurley connected...
JUMP ON BOARD NOW!
Minimum of four lines.
10 fable entry fee.
open till i say otherwise.
winner takes the pot...

Here’s my attempt at a long poem... let me know what you think..
IF.
IF, is a place, we go in our dreams,
The place that Pan flies too at night,
With fairies, demons, and books about lore,
SGs tugging us to left - and to right.
Mayor Key, was the first to rise to power,
Sitting atop a mighty word throne,
Followed by Smee (of Illusion fame),
chinaren built a dynasty on bones.
Kalanna Rai, the assassin, along with Lordy,
haunt the dark side of the fair city IF,
Harley, steals fables from our pockets,
And is often allied with tough Lilith.
IM never fails to impress, MW, is infamous too,
(and for all the wrong reasons it seems),
Mephistopheles likes to shock us,
With his tales filled with dark scenes.
Crunchy is friendly and writes well too,
Rune is new but making his mark,
Dinranwen she clings to the shadows,
Zephyr is one hell of a bright spark.
They start out in corners, shadowed from sight,
Emerging within tales that they tell,
Then when newbies become known,
And their own story do start, opinions, all the louder, do yell.
In IF, the people, now they are bidding,
So that they too, may have a fair chance,
They step over each other in excitement,
To be characterised forever, in Wrath.
So jump onto your net my dear children,
Log in and create an account,
Set your limit to the sky above you,
And find out what IF is all about.

Hmm, not very humorous, and it was actually Reiso and Emperor who wrote Thorns and Steel...but otherwise it was passable. Truly, though, we're all very mediocre when it comes to poetry.
