Chapter 24= The BugBlatter Beast of Traal.
Storm and Vamps stared with greater shock than everyone. Everyone knew who this other person was but Storm and Vamps had actually come across him before and lived to tell the tale. At the end of the cave a man leaned against the wall. He grinned at the new-comers with a grin so evil they all cringed.
“Can we go now? Go. Please let’s go.” Said Vamps.
“I’ll agree.” Storm was about to turn and run.
“No. We have to stay. We have to see why we were sent here nipple head.” Said Jnmrcs.
“Who is that guy?” asked Sorrow. “I don’t seem to remember him from anywhere. But the grin….It reminds me of a nightmare I had once.”
“Probably was in your nightmare. He’s the Nightmare Demon.” Explained IM.
“The nightmare demon?” asked fauna.
“There’s only one. But he’s powerful enough to plant terror into anyone.” Said Storm.
Lordy stopped his dancing and turned to face his guests.
“Welcome to the darkest place of the city!” He said and opened his arms in a welcoming fashion.
“Don’t do that.” Commented Sorrow. “You look like you need a hug.”
The Demon at the end of the cave turned and exited out of a door in the wall of the cave. Everyone sighed with relief.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Phang sneaked up behind the group of IFians. She had been giggling all the way at their little rants about thongs. She found it even funnier since she got in the dungeons without having to wear thongs. Behind her was a beast. The beast was stupid. That was the only way she could describe it.
She had to be careful with it though. She went over the description of the beast in her head. She repeated it so many times it was imprinted in the back of her mind.
Daft as a hairbrush, the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal is arguably the most insanely idiotically dense creature in existence. It believes that if you can't see it, it can't see you. Therefore, if you are faced by the horrid (yes, horrid, in spite of its intelligence, or lack of) Beast you should wrap your towel around your head (you do have one, don't you!?) to TEMPORARILY ward off the Beast's voracious appetite and furious... fury... sorry. Yes, temporarily.
The Beast WILL eventually realize its mistake and find you. Also, for further confusion on the Beast's part, you may scratch your name somewhere. To that we will come. In vanity or for poor memory's sake, each Beast keeps a record of its killings and eatings.
This list is usually in an ante-room from the main chamber, and therefore easily accessible. This list is easily accessible and defacable, to which we are, by degrees, coming. It is easily defacable by the many rocks strewn about the lair floor invariably favoured by Beasts of Traal.
Which is terribly convenient, Traal being a very rocky planet. Whilst being concealed with in your towel, grab a handy rock and scratch your name into the list.
The Beast will now think it has already eaten you, giving you more time to escape. Note that no one has actually PROVED this first-hand, and neither the Guide nor any of its researchers (especially myself) take any responsibility for any personal injury sustained during the execution of the above tactics, and be warned you take this advice at your own risk.
She had to remember this. As well as hope that the Beast was trained well enough to stay loyal to her. the amount of times I’ve read that!
Now she had to be very quiet as she neared the cave and got closer to the thong-wearing group. All she had to do was wait for Lordy’s signal.
He better give me my reward for this!

Not really a DP there, but I can think of something to keep you going for the week that I'm not here.
What is the signal? and what is it for? Whats the plan that the demons are plotting? Remember there is Lordy, The Nightmare Demon and Phang who has the beast with her.

How about the signal is like the Friendship Sign? When Lordy sticks his middle finger up, Phang releases the demon into the cave and it goes after the intruders. Then the nightmare demon comes in and does his part. Or is that a bit too predictable?

Chapter 25! (wooo!lol)= Ready!
Phang sat there, a little way away from the cave enterance. Suddenly a loud, painfull noise was heard that made everybody cover their ears.
It was like a bird screaching. This was the signal! Phang leaped up to her demonic feet and dragged the Beast into the cave where she pulled of the necklace from around its neck. Now it was free. She ran out of the cave, someway down the tunnel and leaped up to hang from the ceiling. She should be safe here and she found some sort of humour in clinging from the ceiling for her life.
IM turned around first to see the beast towering over him.
"Cover your eyes!" yelled Vamps. He did and the beast started to look around for him. Storm took him by the shoulders and hid him behind a rock just as the Beast realised it's mistake. If they can't see you you can still see them!!! How many times had it fallen for that?
IM and Storm stayed hidden.
Vamps turned into a bat and tried to fly away. But there was nowhere to fly to. Fauna threw flowers at the Beast and it swiped them away angrily as they started to burn it.
Jnmrcs tried to confuse it with a bit of Spanish. And what do you know? It actually worked! He sat on the floor with the Beast and tried to teach it Spannish! The stupid plonka actually tried pronouncing Spanish words! But for how long could he keep this up for?
Sorrow ran to IM and Storm and hid with them. "What are you doing?" complained IM. "We can't all fit in one hiding place. Your head is showing."
"I don't care. We need a plan of action and fast." he replied.
"Ok. Ok. just find another rock to hide behind!"
"There's one over there." Said Storm pointing to one just a few feet away.
"When did that get there?" Sorrow asked.
"Who knows? who cares? just go!" said Storm as the Beast was turning and almost saw Sorrow's head sticking out from behind the rock. He managed to slide behind the next rock just in time.
"So what's the plan?" yelled Vamps from above them.

Chapter 26.
Everyone thought for a moment. But nobody came up with any ideas accept a few that were just suicide. But now thinking time was running out as the Beast stood and sniffed the air. It had got bored of the Spanish lesson as it could not get a single word right.
"Sit back down young man! Class is not over yet!" Jnmrcs tried to distract the thing but failed. The Beast turned to him though, and just as Jnmrcs thought he had it, the thing lashed out at him and scratched his leg as he attempted to jump out of the way.
Jnmrcs yelled in pain and stood to his feet. He ran and stood next to fauna. “Got a plan?” he asked but fauna shook her head.
“I’m thinking…” she said and trailed off into thought.
“This rock smells strange.” Complained Sorrow.
“So does this one.” Replied Storm. “This isn’t what rocks smell like is it?” she asked turning her head to face IM. But he was gone. She jumped back and screamed. A sinking feeling in her gut. Everyone turned to see where the scream came from. But by that time Storm was nowhere to be seen.
Sorrow jumped back, away from his rock. ‘What the…?’ he thought. He turned to where IM and Storm had been. “Come on you two! This isn’t funny!” But there was no reply. It was hard to believe that they were gone. One second they were there the next they were gone!
“Storm!” screamed Vamps. But still, no reply. “OI! BUM FACE!” she screamed hoping that the lack of reply was just because they could not heard her.
“Don’t call me bum face!” Storms voice was heard and they looked around to see where it came from. “In here you twonk!” she laughed. “In the stupid stone of wonders!”
“Is IM in there too?” Sorrow was confused.
“Well I didn’t just disappear now did I? This stupid rock swallowed us.”
“It’s pretty in here.” Commented Storm.
“Storm!” yelled IM in disbelief.
“What?” she asked innocently.
“It’s gray and miserable!”
The rest of the group looked at each other with confused looks on their faces. What on Earth was this all about? “Sorrow?” whispered Vamps noticing that he was gone too now. “Storm! IM! Sorrow has disappeared!” she yelled.
“What?” they asked in unison.
“Sorry!” came a voice from the other rock. “I seem to have gotten myself swallowed by a smelly rock!”
Fauna rolled her eyes. “Kids.” She tutted. “Always the ones in trouble.”
“Can you get us out now please?”
“Noh.” A low gurgling voice said.
“Who was that?” called Storm.
“blurblatter blast glur noh.!” Said the Beast.
“Er…guys? The beast thingy is making weird sounds!” called Vamps.
It looked at Fauna and Jnmrcs and lunged at them. Fauna screamed and they ran in opposite directions. Vamps flew closer to the ceiling, screaming.
“OW!” yelled Sorrow. “What’s that noise?”
Storm rolled her eyes from within the rock. “It’s Vamps screaming!” she called when the screaming stopped. Vamps looked around confused when she heard her name.
“What?”
“Er…Nothing Vamps! It doesn’t matter.” Said Sorrow hurriedly.
Jnmrcs ran out of the cave and Fauna found herself trapped at the other end of the rocky room. She turned to face the Beast with terror in her eyes. Vamps tried to find something to scratch out Faunas name from the rock. Storm, IM and Sorrow guessed what was happening when they heard fauna scream.
They tried to climb out of the rocks they were trapped in but it was hopeless. Vamps gave up her search and turned to her usual form. She ran to faunas aid with what she thought was the great speed of a vampire (flitting). But the changing of the worlds sanity and normality was against them. The three were spat out of their rocks and Vamps’ powers were failing.
Storm thought quick and tried her lighting bolts, but her powers were also failing. Sorrow shot an arrow and IM tried a beam of magic which failed. Sorrows Arrow impaled its self into the beast knocking it to the ground. Dead. They all ran to faunas aid at once but found that they were too late.
Vamps stared in disbelief. Storm gave out a short cry, IM put his arm around her. Sorrow tried her pulse and lowered his eyes as he found none. Jnmrcs had no idea of what had happened as he was, by now, out of the underground tunnels. Phang let go of the ceiling as her instinct told her that she was safe.
And she too made her way out of the dark, damp maze. She had heard faunas scream and the beasts. There was no need to be here now. She might see the group again if they succed in solving this twisted mystery.

I've seen Hitchikers guide to the galaxi... I havent read much....only around 30 books and most of them were in a series
