Issue.5 Nov2006 Price: 0Fables.
I’ll take a P please!
The Premier Player Promotion 2 competition has just been announced by Chinaren.
A simplified version of the original PPP, this one still offers big prizes! Go there at once to find out how you can hit the big time!
Going Going Two!
The new auction hall is now open, and already Smee has broken into his piggy bank to win the first one, adding a record 10,000Fatbacks to the City Coffers, and walking away with an article of IF clothing. Rumors of Smee dancing about in a luminous purple thong have yet to be confirmed.
The second Auction has just started, so get on down to the Hall for your chance to win a front page spot for your SGame for a month! Woooo! At time of writing our illustrious mayor has bid 200Fables, and is reportedly attempting to barricade the doors in an effort to avoid any higher bids.
Linear Goes Large.
After much discussion and swilling of Old Stoat Very Peculiar, the Council members have decided to expand the Linear forum and change it into: The Linear and Competition area. Henceforth writing competitions should be held in this district.
Because of the extra responsibility, Chinaren has sent an urgent memo to the manufacturers for the last leg of Smudgers’ chair. It should be in IF before the turn of the century. Maybe.
Second Political Party Seizes Old Guildhall!
Following its recent formation, Geek Girl’s Kingsmen party hurriedly scraped together enough Fables to buy the old Cryptid’s guild, which they have now converted into the Kingsmen Hall. Already there have been complaints from the neighbors about late night parties with scantily clad citizens running around in the back yard and performing strange rituals.
If you want to join please PM Geek Girl.
Roundup.
It’s Twins!
For only the second time ever in IF history, two SGames have tied, to share the title of SGotM. This time it was Lebrenth, taking his second SGotM title with the much acclaimed Fabled Island, an innovative SGame with players taking a role in the story itself. He shared this title with Chinaren, taking his fourth SGotM title with the much acclaimed Lords and Ladies, an innovative SGame with players taking a role in the story itself.
Commiserations must go to the runners up. A narrow vote just edged out Elvendor by Jez Sharp, and I Don't Believe in Fate by Geek Girl. I recommend you check out both.
