I think we used to do these awhile back in the "Games" forum, but since it's locked now I'll start one here. The game is to tell a story as a group, with each person writing two words at a time. Each reply in the thread should repeat the story from the beginning. So the first post might be "One day", then the second post "One day Johnny was", then the third post "One day Johnny was walking to", etc.
Here are some tips and tricks:- You can't post twice in a row. If you've just posted, you must wait for at least one other person (and hopefully more) to post before you post another two words.
- Don't feel like your contribution needs to be clever or surprising or introduce a new element. Most of the two-word phrases in any good story will be simple connectors ("so he", "and the", "he said", "that they", etc.)
- Anyone can end the story by posting "The End". Hopefully we'll all have a sense of when the story has come to an end.
