How about 2 assassins each for 2 targets? Would the timelines be good for that? _________________ Neil Hartley Books.

"You have should by now rendezvoused with your latest associates." That made me laugh.
"A giant of a man, nearly a full head over most of his contemporise, Baron Drano used to be highly respected by the Imperium, his taxes were always paid on time and in full, often paying more than the expected 40%."
"There have been reports of the Desto family having pyskic abilities for many years now, but whenever a Black Ship went through the Sector and an Interrogator was sent to investigate, they always managed to meet with an accident."
H'okay... assassins...
If Desto has psychich powers as is rumoured, or has psychic family members nearby, let's send the Culexus over to him.
Zarcoff should get the Callidus - after all, on a ship of million's of crewmembers, we don't want to send the Eversor, as that would be a waste of life, the Vindicare might be a little restricted by the small enviroment, and the Culexus would be viewed with suspicion.
Claudia however would also be good for the Callidus, to deal with the paranoia, unless we send the Eversor in - everyone around her is loyal to her, so should be killed anyways.
That leaves the Vindicare to Iblou - not sure how that would work. He doesn't sound like the kind of person to give inspiring speeches, but I think a long ranged attack would work best on him aas his bodyguards would be ineffectual.

I think out of all the secondary targets, Claudia is the easiest. We know her weakness, and we can exploit it easily through infiltration. _________________ Stories

Yay, a decision point. Looking more promising now Lordy.
I think that for Iblou, the Vindicare would be best. He may not go round making important speeches, but he would be making rounds with his troops, so a long-range attack could work with him. All the others would also be difficuly for a Vindicare, so he is the best option for them.
For Claudia I think an Eversor would be best. As Araex said, all her guards are loyal, so killing them is almost a requirement, and a juicy Eversor would be best for that. Direct and brutal.
For Zarcoff I think the Callidus should be sent. She could access the ship relatively easily, and blend in easily with the multitude of crewmembers aboard the ship.
As for Ragnar, the only option left appears to be a Culexus. And as he possibly has psykick abilities, then this would also be a good choice. But if he doesn't then it could all go horribly wrong. I don't know exactly how good Culexus are at killing non-psykers, but I don't think they are any where near as effective as any of the other types. Do we have long enough to properly establish whether he is or does the mission have quite a strict time limit? Anyway, I guess that's the best set of options. Let's see what become of our loverly incestuous family!

Great...decision time.
The countess would best be taken out on one of her infrequent jaunts...perfect for a sniper such as Morias Skult.
Count Iblou however has many loyal guards and moves about freely, clearly prepared for a variety of attacks. Perhaps a covert, shape-shifting op from the Callidus Temple could get the job done.
The vice-count should be eliminated by Djar Kranor.
And Slindo Graft, who can resist psykers, should take out Sir Ragnar Desto von Cumshulk. _________________ The maker of a sentence launches out into the infinite and builds a road into Chaos and old Night, and is followed by those who hear him with something of wild, creative delight. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Well then, that's the loverly poll up.
Everyone has suggested Slindo Graft to take on Ragner, so I'll leave him out of the poll, leaving just the three family members.
And Fauna - just so you know - when I said the Countess makes infrequent jaunts - that means maybe once a year - if you're lucky. _________________ Punishment leads to Fear. Fear leads to Obedience. Obedience leads to Freedom. Therefore, Punishment leads to Freedom.

Plus the fact that I never read things at loud, so I don't notice when you get a name like that.
Now then, if nobody votes, I'll have to break the tie.
Which may not be a bad idea, seeing how I know which is the best for each assassin... _________________ Punishment leads to Fear. Fear leads to Obedience. Obedience leads to Freedom. Therefore, Punishment leads to Freedom.

Grrr - stupid poll. Now I'll have to break it.
The Vindicare Assassin, Mordias Skult, will be assigned to take out the ruthless, the something else, the other thing...Count Iblou Cumshulk.
Any possible assassination plans that you people can come up with will be appreciated, because otherwise I might have to think of them myself. Which I don't want to do - I'll start the chapter tonight, with or without your help, and end it somewhere, but that doesn't mean you're off the hook.
Remember - this is a very extroverted man, who takes pride in giving speeches to his troops and is often seen around the city - use it to your advantage with the snipers bullet.
And the poll is offically closed - so don't vote if you expect to make a difference. _________________ Punishment leads to Fear. Fear leads to Obedience. Obedience leads to Freedom. Therefore, Punishment leads to Freedom.

Well we can't exactly vote, since the poll has already been deleted.
Could we get the Iblou guy when he is doing one of his speeches? Or maybe catching him when he is on the streets? I don't think it will be possible to get time alone with the guy, even to shoot him from a distance. _________________ Stories

We need to somehow find his routine plan, and then use it to find a day when he will be making a public appearance. Then we need to find a building that has sufficiant view of the target area. Then we need to get out guy in position and wait for the count with a terrible name.
Then, when he is most exposed, and preferably making a speech or something, maybe kissing a baby, we should load a nice big anti-tank round, and then shoot him, preferably in the face. Don't kill the baby, just shower it liberally with blood and brain matter. That'll do it. _________________ "Humankind cannot stand too much reality" - T.S. Elliot

Secondary Target A – Count Iblou Cumshulk.
Part 1
As the single unit pod hurtled through space, Morias Skult reviewed the details listed on the data-slate in front of him. Traitors such as the Baron and his family deserved nothing more than a simple bullet. The small pod shuddered slightly as the retro-engines were engaged; the atmospherically-sealed transport – undetectable by all bar the most advanced systems – designed to deliver its cargo safely and within minutes of ignition.
With barely a jolt the small black craft rocked onto the surface. The Vindicare Assassin slunk out, Exitus Pistol raised as he glanced cautiously around, just on the off chance a civilian of Palas was for some reason in the desert. Seeing none he reached back into the pod, and removed his primary weapon, the black long barrelled rifle barely visible in the dark of night. Sealing the pod, his fingers quickly darting over the control panel as he entered in his unique identification code, the craft doors sliding shut and the cameoline concealment shield activating, rendering the craft invisible to the outside world. Morias stepped backwards as the pod disappeared, the black body suit revealing no sign of emotion to the outside world.
Nearly invisible himself, he crept through the sandy desert, leaving faint foot-prints only the most observant of searchers could pick out. Heading westward towards the city, it wasn’t long before he came across a road leading the same direction. The road – which was more of a dirt beaten track – ran straight along the desert as far as the eye could see. The assassin’s ears picked up the sound of an engine long before his eyes could in the open darkness, heading towards the city of what was once Getifex, but known now only as Iblou City.
Activating his mask with a simple touch of a button, the desert blazed into light – the spy mask picking up the heat sources and modifying them for human eyes to see. In the distance was a strong heat source, powerful engine. Whirring through the different settings, selecting night vision and increasing the magnification Skult was able to enhance the view to such a level to bring the vehicle into sight. The ambient star-light from above gathered by the device before negatively charging the photons to electrons and amplified in number, before being hurled against the phosphorus screen to modify them back into visible light.
The truck – for that’s what it was – came into view, the engine purring as the driver gunned towards the city, obviously looking to reach it before nightfall. Dropping to one knee, Morias swung the long barrelled rifle around and peered through the barrel. The extra range afforded by the high-powered weapon allowed the assassin to get a clear bead on the driver’s forehead. Resting his finger lightly along the trigger, Morias shadowed the target as he drew closer. Ten metres later he drew in his breath, and tightened his grip, the silenced weapon sending a high-powered round streaming through the air, puncturing the windscreen with barely a sound, and impacting with the driver’s skull. Satisfied, he climbed to his feet, ejecting the empty shell and placing it within the hidden pouch at the butt of the gun.
As he strode towards the car – still 2,000 feet away – he considered his options of how to eliminate the Count. The First Rule of the Vindicare Temple – When a single round will suffice, to use more is in excess, prayed heavily upon his mind, and he thought back to his first mission – his graduation mission – the one which made turned the young untested initiate into a tool of the Imperium.
The planet Stanbore IV, located in the Stanbore System. Nearly thirteen years ago. Orks had invaded the system and taken control of half the planets located there. Stanbore IV had been an industrial planet, one of the major Forge Worlds of the Imperium, and it was vital that the orks did not discover some of the secrets located deep within the planets core. It had been said that the Tech-Adapts of Mars themselves had decreed the use of an Imperial Assassin in this instance, something unprecedented in recent history.
Single-handedly selected from of all the trainees, Morias had felt chosen, felt as if he had been tasked with the mission by the God-Emperor of Mankind himself. Tasked with the elimination of the ork Warlord Barazgh Ns’kul, commander of the ork Waaaagghh, and ordered to spread as much havoc among the ground forces as possible in order to slow the construction of their machines, he knew from the onset it would not be a walk in the park.
It was upon arrival however, that he discovered just how difficult it would be. Over forty thousand orks worked on the plants, barely a hundredth of the total invasion fleet. Ns’kul himself had a retinue of fifty boyz, who were constantly with the Warlord. And that was not all. The orks had delved deep inside the Tech-Adapts database, and discovered the secrets within. They were building a Gargant.
A massive ork war machine, stretching over thirty metres into the air. A full thousand tonnes of steel, of machinery. Of weaponry. Able to conquer entire armies of foot-soldiers, struggling off lascannons and missile launchers as if they were mere mosquito bites. And the orks were building one on Stanbore IV.
It was several days before he was able to conceive a plan to cause maximum devastation, and nearly another full week before he was in a position to carry it out. His body cramped after a full week of remaining immobile, the orks passing within a hundred feet of his position daily, his mind was still prepared, the liturgies of faith he had learnt since childhood still ingrained on his mind.
The Turbo-Penetrator round had taken the Warlord in the throat from over a thousand feet away, lifting him off the ground and slamming him backwards into the machine he had been standing before to give his speech just moments before. The high powered, armour piercing bullet continued rising however, as it sprayed from the back of his thick skull and into the Gargant’s armoured plated body. The small rapidly spinning round bit into one of the many wires inside the monstrosity, creating a spark that travelled along the power line at speeds greater for the eye to see. Within moments, the spark hit the weapon power lines, sending the systems into overdrive, explosive bolts launching in all directions, sending ork bodies flying.
That is nothing to the explosion that happens, as the Gargant itself detonates, scraps of flying metal catapulting in all directions. The chances of a single round exploding a Titan sized creature are not even worth considering, and Morias does not, just evacuates from his position with all speed, before returning to his shuttle and leaving the planet.
Upon returning the Temple, he is decorated by the Masters, and is shown all the respect of an experienced and capable assassin. The single shot that he thought defeated an army, he later learnt to be worthless, as the Imperial Navy simply virus bombed the planet, after Inquisitor Dario of Ordo Xenos declared the ork taint had spread to far for them to be simply hunted out. The declaration of Exterminatus had seemed almost an insult to him at first, before he learnt that was part of serving the Emperor, that your deeds may only be glorious through His eyes.
Snapping out of his daze as he reached the truck, he pulled the door open, and ignored the previous owner’s body as it tumbled out, their head unrecognisable with half the face missing. Kneeling, and removing a small canister, he raked the body back and forth with the dissolutionary agent. By day-break, the acid would have eaten through both the body and clothing, leaving no trace of the corpse. Without a backwards glance, Skult hoisted himself up into the now abandoned vehicle, and drove off along the dirt track.
It is nearly sun-rise when he abandoned the vehicle, its purpose now served. Walking the two miles to Iblou City, it is a simple matter to infiltrate the heavy urban environment. After killing the inhabitants of one of the many slum dwellings, Morias removed his light-weight armour and Syn-Skin, before requisitioning the clothing from one of the dead inhabitants.
The next move was to establish the most effective way of eliminating the target. Taking the opportunity of civilian clothes to explore the city and sight out the most obvious positions, he was startled to discover that the architecture of the city had remained more or less the same since the Count’s takeover. It is in Central Square that he discovered why, as broad-casters situated along the Hall of Judges blare into life.
“Attention. Attention. In accordance with Imperial Law, Order 489, sub-section 24 all citizens aged eighteen to twenty-five must now spend at least seven years in the military forces of the planet, unless they have a job deemed vital to the war effort. For the full list of viable jobs view sub-sector 25. As such, this city has been has been designated as ground infantry.
All citizens must meet here tomorrow after the second shift, for an assembly called by Count Iblou himself. Attendance is mandatory.”
Storing this information, Morias makes his way back to the out slums. As he equipped himself fully once more, he considered what he had learnt. Apparently the Count had kept the information that the system was now opposed to the Emperor’s Name hidden, if the citizens still believed they were following Imperial Law. Imperial Law 489 decreed that all pets must be fully licensed and quarantined upon purchase, nothing related to conscription. However, the news that the Count would be in Central Square tomorrow was worthwhile, especially if he was giving a speech on the army virtues.
However, the heightened security that this would no doubt lead to could well cause a problem. Waiting and infiltrating his Count’s quarters could prove to be the more successful option. With a rare smile, Morias came to a decision. _________________ Punishment leads to Fear. Fear leads to Obedience. Obedience leads to Freedom. Therefore, Punishment leads to Freedom.

If Morias is quick and stealthy, I think he has a better chance of getting a quick bullet into the Count's head or something.
And the crowds, I would think would give him a opportunity to escape unnoticed probably. _________________ Stories

Like it Lordy, very nice. I only have one slight thingy. Would he really do that with the truck? It could be missed and may alert someone. It's only a small point, but still, it's a risk.
He is a hotshot assassin. I think he should be able to work something out. Like Rav said, the crowds may work in his favor, espially if he can add a bit of panic to the scene. _________________ Neil Hartley Books.

Yay! A normal chapter at last!
A few points:
Quote: | the black body suit revealing no sign of emotion to the outside world |
This line was pretty redundant. It seemed as though you had just put it in to show that he was a ruthless assassin, but it didn't really work in the context. It would be much better if worked into the bit where he kills the truck driver.
Quote: | As he strode towards the car |
This should be truck, I think. It's a little confusing as car; makes one think that there is another vehicle.
Now, I think that, as a Vindicare assassin, I think he would be capable of dealing with the protection that the count could bring to bear. Find a vantage point and wait. Preferably one that won't be too difficult to escape from.

Well it is a good idea to have a escape route, should the plan fail, and escape is necesary. _________________ Stories

Use the long-range skill to his advantage. Why get up close and personal? Even with heightened security, if he's sure of his target then he shouldn't have any trouble making his mark. _________________ The maker of a sentence launches out into the infinite and builds a road into Chaos and old Night, and is followed by those who hear him with something of wild, creative delight. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think two options present themselves:
The first would be to hire a room overlooking the square, giving false ID, or in someway to get a position above the meeting.
The other is to sneak into the Count's residence whilst he is out with his guards. Lay a trap of some sort with a secure escape route - just because we can act from afar doesn't mean we must.

OK, it seems as if there's been three options put forwards so far.
1. Find a sniping posistion from a building above the Square, and take him out from there.
2. Mingle with the crowd, and use the mass of people to conceal yourself while taking the shot.
3. Infiltrate the Count's Headquarters, and lay in wait for him there.
