At the moment he's climbing around in a filthy mine, thus he's a dirtball...no offense intended to the resident IFian dirtball. Very Happy

And besides, Soily, she called China a "little dirtball". I would never call you a little dirtball. Great big honking pile o' muck, perhaps. Mount Grimey, maybe. But little dirtball? That just doesn't do justice to the magnitude of your dirtliness. Very Happy

LOL. Looks like I missed that little interlude.

Anyways, an interesting chapter, Crymmy. I agree with everyone else. Placate Rai below, and perhaps persuade Crymzon AKA You to join us in going against Muaddib.

I'd stay away from the reporter. She's obviously not one to trust. Pelt her with birdseed and unleash the killer canaries- they'll flock on her like a Hitchcock movie and that'll be one less thing you have to worry about. Alba brought birdseed for a good reason. Wink

As for the ticket stamper...I'm sure you could persuade him to put down the sledge hammer if you waved a ticket in front of him. He's so well trained by now he'd pluck up the stamper immediately and you could then thwack him like an apedog.

LOL. Attacking canaries. I would bet that the ticket-stamper may be easier to persuade. But then again we don't really know him that well enough.

Fauna! I'm hurt and shocked that you'd suggest me as untrustworthy! Since China's obviously dirt poor while Muaddib is loaded I have absolutly no reason to stab China in the back while toppling Mua is an attractive way to start looting...

Trust me. Wink

Yeah, don't even let it trouble you, Crymzon. I've been in your situation before (my best friend had to get heart surgery a couple years back), so I know what you must be going through right now. Just take your time, and we'll be here to pelt things at you-- uh, I mean, give you our full support. Very Happy

If I had meant to say "day", I would have said "day". And I think we can all agree that Rome was not, in fact, built within an egg. It's one of those precious few facts of which we can be sure. Wink

Oh man, that was a good show. Back before the days of fart humor, bad animation, and random stupidness trying to be passed off for decent comedic writing. You know, back when they made good cartoons for kids. Anyway, Rugrats was a cartoon that was from the view of these babies, and it was cool because aside from the fact that it had great writing and lovable characters, it provided an interesting perspective on the adult world, as seen from a more innocent, honest POV. These days, if I see an old episode, I can actually get some more of the adult references (nothing nasty, just jokes that only grown-ups would get, like when one of the parents called the next-door neighbor's house the "Payton Place"). These babies were always mispronouncing common phrases, and would make amusing statements such as "As Bob as my witness", and "Rome wasn't built in an egg", which is where my comment came from. I guess you never forget some things. Wink

Sorry to keep hijacking but... Rugrats! oh I wish they still made cartoons like it. The current state of animation depresses me, it being my chosen profession.

Back on the subject... Great story! I'm drawn to all the IFian character stories. Makes me want to be a part of them, I love to play the hero Smile Of course in mirror IF I'd have to be a villain then wouldn't I Sad ahh well. So much reading, so little time.

What strange old lady one? I don't remember seeing it. It might have worked, but maybe I rejected it as being too close to RL. Anyway, I think the snow goose is pretty.

Well guys, I think you could both post a little less myself. Sometimes (and please note I said sometimes here) your posts are a little spam like. Less quantity and more quality.

Thanks Thracia love ya hon Wink

To answer yer question Lordy I've had a nice big infected lump in my ear for a while but the antibiotics were clearing it we though ... they didn't know it'd infected elsewhere too ... my throat for instance witch decided it really wanted to close up. As not being able to breath is concidered somewhat of an issue by learned medical types I was in hospital.

And thirdly the next chapter will be with you either later tonight or more realistically tomorrow now, I've just updated Spellforge finally this is my next job before I take on the Deleria ... then I have to go and pull Gangland up of its rear. Man this is why I don't take time off if I can help it Very Happy
