*finds Bob, clicks him, then votes*

Accept the proposal, keep your friends near. This guy craves power and has some skewed ideal about uniting the Scarpis (so long as he has absolute control). He'll think he has absolute control of you as well, naive and meek little you. Listen to your friends and milk this guy for all he's worth, then dispose of him just like he intends to dispose of you.

How do we know that her friends and the other tribes won't desert her if she accepts the proposal? At least one of the other tribes was leary about following her in the first place. Allying herself with their enemy will prove them right and no one will want to trust her.

That having been said, I don't know what to do.

I guess we could hope that the serpent witches won't bless the marriage...

I voted to run. None of the choices are very attractive, but maybe Rigiva won't stick around to kill everybody before he goes after her, and she might reach the wild lands before he can catch her.

Wah! Saw Bob but wasn't logged in!

i said to accept it but only under the condition that they get the serpent-witches blessing. this seems like the best option to me because it will most likely gurantee his word on her getting to see the serpent-witches

... unless he doesn't think the serpent-witches will bless their marriage, in which case he will recieve the answer in the same way as if she said no, and kill them all (or not, because we still don't know what would happen if we just outright say 'no' and there's no way of knowing unless we just do it)

Ooooh, I'd not considered that aspect of that choice. Confused Glad I cast my one lonely vote for keeping friends near. She might end up accepting this proposal, and then it still looks like some lame delaying tactic.

OK, poll's closed. Vote was to accept Rigiva's proposal but only on the condition that the Serpent-Witches bless the marriage.

Thanks for the great discussion everyone! Chapter 13 to be posted in two days.

Hmm, poison looks nice....a knife through some part of the body. I know I am not the only one to suggest a deception on Pilla's part. Cool

You could simply tell him that you're unable to procreate, and apologize for not mentioning that earlier.

We could. But how would that rectify our situation? This guy may a liar and a murderer. And if Pilla lies about being barren, she goes to same level as him, that of being a liar I mean. May as well go to the extreme and kill the guy.

But I personally am not all for killing him until we get some information from him. And a woman's sexuality could be to Pilla's advantage if she want to get some answers from Rigiva. Just some thoughts.

He's a six-foot plus scorpian remember - he's already said they're bodies aren't sexually compatible. I very much doubt her being barren will affect his descion in any way.

I forgot that he said that. Wink Looks we have to figure out some other way to avoid his attention. Of course we may not have to do anything, but I sincerely doubt that will happen. [/color]

Okay, my first reaction just after reading the first sentence was Blech. That would be corny.

But the idea of scorpians turning into grasshoppers does sound appealing. Definitely would change the emotion in the story. Cool

Well, as she said they weren't compatible, maybe it goes deeper, and no races in this World are.

No - wait, jst remembered. In The Archer's Flight it talks about how centaurs were created, through inter-species relationships.

Well, I think when the centaurs and other races were created it was a one-time thing at the beginning of the world, so it may not have any bearing on whether they're compatible now. I would tend to think not.

True, Mother Goose. It goes under the belief of creationism being alive at that time.
