Okay, I thought I'd start these back up! I'll post one in each section, and see what we all can come up with! For those of you who are new at this, or need a refresher, I'll give a quick explanation as to how this game is played. Two-Words-At-A-Time, or T.W.A.A.T. for short, is a game which begins with two words, and each consecutive player adds two more of their own words, and working together this way, try to tell a story. For example:

First post – I am

Second post – I am a long

Third post – I am a long way from

Fourth post – I am a long way from nowhere. If

And so one and so forth. There are only two rules, no posting twice in a row, and only add two words per post. These were started some time ago to promote collaboration between citizens,a s well as provide a quick and easy way to contribute to IF. Something that can be done in your spare time between other activities.

So, without further adieu, on to the game!

And the starting words are:

Hal left

Update from Key: these stories tend to peter out, so I'm adding a deadline to the game. At the top, it will say how many words are left in the story. Every time you do a new post, subtract two from that number, and let's try to finish when it reaches zero!

They were crucial for his finding werewolves, for they had a special touch that would show him their unholy souls and give him the courage to vanquish them. Hal hoped that no one had found them before nightfall, for they could kill anyone who tried to touch the lenses.

The garden was still, but Hal was certain that inside its hedges there lurked figures shrouded by magic. Cautiously he held out his hand and pointed where he thought he could feel their presence. But instead, a stream of ectoplasma caught him in the shoulder, forcing him to take cover.

Suddenly, a great wind blew and his shirt off, he was shocked to discover that he had forgotten to cast a silencing spell, leaving him unable to hide from the gnomes. Each footstep made by Hal would release a bubble of slow acting fungus that would disintegrate, but leave a fragrant trail of spores as he went. Smirking, Hal waved his hat around, a cloud of bluish red insects collecting where the spores were rising. The gnomes

Quickly, Hal cast an illusion spell. He hoped the smell that emitted from the wand would distract the intruders, whatever their plans were. Perhaps the fine dusting of pollen would enhance the potency of his spell. He waited with baited breath.

The gnomes howled indignantly, waving their hats in frustration. From where they were standing they couldn't quite see where their quarry had led them.

Full of youthful optimism, Hal took one last look at the enraged group and called out, "My glasses!" Turning, he lunged towards the gnome, reaching out for it's little throat. The gnome turned into a rabbit wearing Hal's glasses, then flew off using it's robo beard.

I dunno.

Maybe we should all suggest a title for it, and then the topic starter (Pope) opens up a poll?

I suggested 'A shocking spectacle', but I think the post got lost on the previous page. But it's an alternative, if we're going to have a vote!
