How about we just read the last chapters and go to the mines. I think that the machine in there was the mod machine- taking faceless Ifians and cloning them into mods...

I haven't begged to get in the guild. I just asked repeatedly for about a week. Now I'm just waiting, I know I'll get in but when. I think the mod machine will be in the one place where no one will expect it to be. It wil be stuffed in one of the many crevaces of the uninhabitable rabbit hole of Soily.* Either that or it's under Smee's desk somewhere. Think about it, loads of people including newbies go to Smee's office. I myself may be a mod but just unaware of it.
