I don't want to sound really lame or something, but I just haven't had enough time to experiment by reading new authors as of yet.
I was just wondering if you IFians could suggest something to me, because I really need to read something. It could also be within IF, but I would prefer something from the outside world. What I want is something really captivating, and I named it The Question Mark book. (No, I don't name stuff like this often. I just need to let some creativity out).
Right now, Im reading Sector 17 by Rieso at IF. I just need some dierections to some great books. Thanks! _________________

I noticed in another thread that you were going to read HM. Thanks V! I've always wanted to see your take on that tale.
Outside of IF, what sort of genre are you interested in reading? _________________

Haha! Your welcome. I wanted to start off on Heavy Metal as soon as I joined, but then I realized that it had progressed too far ahead(I know, lame reason). That's why I didn't read MT at the beginning as well. I read it because people recommended it to me.
And everyone seems to say that HM is their favourite SG. Great job!
Outside of IF, I'd read anything but romance. I've always enjoyed Dan Brown, Gordon Korman among contemporary writers. I'd like something similar. _________________

hmm...
well...
If it need not be a story per se, I suggest Jim Marrs' Rule by Secrecy.
If you like Fantasy, try Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series.
That's my 2 cents anyhow. I could think of more in other genres but those are my highest recommendations. _________________

Sure.. Thanks.. I'll look them up!
Also I started out on HM and immediately realized that I am missing the first few parts of the story. Or am I?! It starts with Chapter 1.2 part 2... _________________

Dang... I guess its more confusing than I had hoped.
It starts with 1.1.
For those early chapters, you might want to utilize the Table of Contents. There's links in there that can keep it all together so you don't miss anything. This tells me I should revert the chapters back to their longer form though. _________________

Thanks! I just finished reading the first sentence
No need to get chapters back to their longer forms. Just let everyone know that the story begins with 1.1 and tell em where to find it. That should be enough. _________________

I'm a Feist fanatic, so I'd say start with Magician: Apprentice by Raymond E. Feist. That's the first in my favorite series by him. Also, Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind is the first in a MINDBLOWING series called the Sword of Truth novels. Both those should keep you buisy for a long time.
For lighter reading, Howl's Moving Castle, I forget the author, or White Fang by Jack London.
