Auction house. Closed for summer. What's all this about then? This thread is the bidding thread for the Storygame of the same name (Good vs Evil vs Money) that can be found in the FANTASY section. I started it because I am very poor and need more Fables to buy food for the starving children that Key turns out onto the streets. Ahem. If you don't know about FABLES then I suggest you read the money thread at the top of this forum. Here you can bid to be a character (or a thing even) in the game, or you can bid for SOMEONE ELSE to be a character or thing in the game. If someone else bids to be someone/thing, you can bid higher to change his/her specification. Private bids (a PM to me) will be considered, but I would prefer them to be in this thread. Finally, any bids on anything else (plot twists etc) will also be considered. I reserve the right to refuse ideas or change anything I like without notice. Any characters that win a bid will be inserted (sometimes painfully) into the story at the earliest opportunity. However, on occasion this may take a little while if a suitable plot entrance point doesn't become available. Thank you for listening. Chinaren. Chairman and President of Chinaren Enterprises. One reason is that I thought it was just too cheap! I mean, I have my overheads you know! Previous to that there were a few bidding fights for the Hero and Villain, as well as annoying talking animal, survival not guaranteed. After the Twisty's death, General Powers insists on having her embalmed - stuffed and grinning, if you prefer - and carries her with him wherever he goes. As time passes, he goes slowly more and more insane, talking to his twisty friend, hearing her answer him, mulling over old times, etc... Hello All, After reading Stoat's guest chapter in Smee's 'Time Before' forum, it sparked an idea amongst my brains*. The Main page forums could be a good place to add an occasional 'guest' thread, and expand the scope of the story and the story world. So. I have thought of a 'side story' which could be written by someone else in the Greed forum. Should anyone be interested in this. Before you jump up and down, here are the conditions: I have a general plot in Greed that I am working to. Hence the guest thread will be limited to work within the boundries of this. My 'side plot' idea will be worked into the main story at some point, or at least referred to, so again, it must be within the boundries of the Greed world, and not upset the general plot. I will give more details if I get an author. I like to think I have a reasonably high standard of writing, so the GT (Guest Thread) must be up to a good quality of story and English. Stories don't need gods and devils coming in with mighty powers to smite all before them. With the exception of Phang, who still has limitations, characters will be 'normal' people. No unbeatable warriors or such. (Okay, maybe Royalty and the likes, but you know what I mean). The chapter must be written within a certain timeframe, or it won't keep pace with the main story. I have final say on whether the chapter is posted, and reserve the right to edit heavily. The Author will get a guest payment of 50Fables, plus the posting Fables. However, for some characters, such as Nalloon, I am not really sure myself yet. Unless I have a very specific idea in mind, then the characters only tend to develop over time, and usually when I am actually writing the story. I have decided to round off the current story to a certain point and then put Greed in stasis for a little while. Essentially it will be the end of Book 1. Hence I am suspending all new bidding from now. I estimate I will get in another couple of chapters yet before Book 1 ends, but there are still a lot of bids outstanding.
