Neville likes studying robots with his twin, Nigel. Together they modify and restore antique units whose functions were degraded due to age. One day an unusual project came to their workshop. Once a military mecha prototype, it was tossed out by a curator who apparently preferred simpler models to more heavy duty complex prototypes. When Neville opened the front hatch he found complex circuits powered by nexium crystals.

"Why, this looks like it should be taken to our hall of treasures!" said Neville, brushing a hair off the casing. "It's seen some of the ancient battles between Robot and android rebels, look!"

He pointed at the black, rusty patch of palladium on its armor. A hiss like an angry serpent emits from a part of the hydraulics that controlled the chest hatch of the automaton. Neville chuckles at the sound, it reminded him of the coffee-maker. Nigel opened the hatch, carefully removing a comparatively simple circuit. It burnt his hand and then jumped back.

"It's active, but it seems unfriendly!" Nigel said, clutching his numb fingertips. Crackling wildly, the robot toppled from its stand, whimpering when one of its sprockets busted on its ugly nose.

"Stop fooling around!" it said. "Can't you tune me into a Robot military frequency?" The bot shuffles and starts receiving a coded transmission it can't decipher.

Neville gasps. "What? It spoke!"

"What? It spoke!"

"Duh, you foolish humans can't even acknowledge the superior intelligence of nexium-powered life."

"Life???!!!" Nigel exclaims. "You think that we don't acknowledge your intelligence and that your soul doesn't exist?"

ZAP! The bot slices Neville's large hand with deft precision.

"OUCH! YOU STUPID ROBOT," yelled Neville. Sticking out his uninjured hand, Neville pulled the E.M.P. gun and brandished it wildly, firing bullets, as Nigel danced around dodging them. The bullets caused many holes in the bot's
