i"ve got a smattering of books I've been trying to read. I'm kinda dorky about books really. On my list:
"The Old Romantic"- Louise Dean ....a family social drama
"An Exlusive Love: A Memoir" - Johanna Adorjan ...a memoir
"The Matchmaker of Kenmare" -Frank Delaney ... a historical romance, examining the possibly of platonicism in men-women friendships
"The Name of the Rose"- Umberto Eco .... classic! Love this book...time period thriller/mystery. Gruesome deaths of several monks in a 1300s abbey investigated by two monks, one of them a brilliant Franciscan.
"Shantaram" -Gregory David Roberts...exploits of a fugitive with an epic vision, loosely based on Greg Roberts' own life....very beautifully written
Oh... and a book I won't mention in a general public forum _________________ _______________________________________________________

A couple of books at the moment:
Whatever I've got on my Kindle (right now it's A Storm of Swords, but I've got a load of stuff on there.)
Animals Make Us Human by Temple Grandin (really interesting book on dealing with animals' mental welfare)
Hope for Animals and Their World by Jane Goodall (all about conservation success stories, basically)

Reading several myself as well:
Civil Disobedience - Thoreau
Thoughts - Joseph Roux (A rather difficult read. A French translation and contains references to many people I've never heard of)
A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin (My first attempt at fantasy in a long time)
The Celtic Twighlight - W.B. Yeats
And I think that's it at the moment.

Just started reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman after lot's of pestering from a friend. I'm a big Hitchhikers Guide fan and apparently it's a similar style. So far it has got me laughing harder then I have in quite a while. _________________ Check out some of the following:

Currently working my way through the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie and Kushiel's Justice by Jacqueline Carey.
I really should make a habit of finishing a series before reading into others. Cause I end up reading halfway through the books and start rotating.
So this is how it goes.
I'm halfway through book two, The Well Of Ascension. (Mistborn Trilogy)
About two chapters away from finishing The Blade itself. (First Law Trilogy)
Halfway through Kushiel's Justice.
