SYNOPSIS

Brandon is a 15-year-old guy in a rural area of Texas. He’s just like every other teen, except for the fact that he can see colors around people that show their base personalities and can instantaneously know what key people’s voices are in. He can also see colors in the air, around the stars and moon, flashing out from the sun, etc… For the most part, this has affected him very little, except for that one time when he was five and he discovered he could change people’s colors (and, thus personalities) by touching them.

However, besides that small incident, his life was pretty good. He had a loving, cheery mom (her color was yellow), two best friends (Jacob, who is energetic lime green and Billy, whose color Brandon accidentally changed to dark blue), and a very uninteresting lifestyle. The only thing wrong was dear old alcoholic dad (a dark red man). Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and they did in a spectacular way. When he was halfway through his fourteenth year of life, strange dreams of a future where everyone’s color was gray started to haunt him. Even stranger thing happened in English class. A random hole burst into the wall and a gun barrel shot a mysterious gray bolt. Upon instinct, Brandon brought all the colors in the room together into a web. The gray hit the web and the energy went directly to Brandon, who instantly passed out, leaving his classmates (and incompetent English teacher) unharmed.

Brandon woke up from a coma and found out that he had been out for a year. During that year, his father had killed his mom in a drunken rage and was serving time in jail. His mind still reeling, he was visited by the mysterious (and totally hot) Ms. Parker. Besides sending his newly fifteen-year old hormones into overdrive, she invited him to join a shady Organization of people who, like Brandon and Ms. Parker, had special gifts concerning colors, music, and other things. She called these types of people Artists. After gaining more information about the Organization over the two subsequent weeks, he decided to leave all he knew (what was left of it, anyways) and join the Organization rather than risk life with some distant relatives in Minnesota.

This sounds very interesting, Sadly I did not get a chance to read the original chapters, but I'm definitely part of this SG now.
