Our beloved SchoolMarm! has finally decided to take her well earned vacation, and even enjoys a semi-retirement appropriate for her advancing years. As such, she is not often around the city as of late, although the ill correction of a spelling or grammatical error might force her to take up her ruler once again.

Her first appearance occurred with the release of The City of IF Story Part III where the munificent Marm so kindly chastised Fauna for incorrectly correcting Mayor Key’s writing.

From that initial appearance, the city’s best writers and most prolific correctors found that SchoolMarm! was easily goaded by improper rectification of an author’s post. Even Smee was forced to concede that the Marm’s dictionary was bigger than his in an unfortunate incident that took place in the Storygame Ideas forum. In recognition of her tireless efforts, and an attempt to avoid the hijacking of threads with Marmisms, she was finally granted her own SchoolHouse within the IF Technical Institute.

Much debate has centered on the alter-ego of SchoolMarm! with many citizens eventually realizing the other identity. Despite compelling forensic substantiation as well as circumstantial evidence and sketchy eye-witness reports, SchoolMarm! steadfastly continues to deny any association with an alter-ego.

Her inexplicable and sudden accrual of a great many Fables has brought on more speculation regarding the secretive activities of this colorful character. In fact, rumors spread that the Marm earned her wealth in deviant manners, inspiring the character of the late Twisty Witch as featured in her tryst with General Powers the Perverted in the storygame Greed.
