There as sack. It's a standard hessian sack.

What's in it???

The wackiest entry will win. Or at least the one I like the most.

Oh. Free entry. I'll put a coupla undred fatabacks up as prize. Smile

*inspects the outside of the bag* Hmmm. I'll say an early 90's micro machine, an MP3 of that song that is stuck in your head and you don't know the lyrics to, a piece of paper from a fortune cookie that says "Your Career Plans Look Bright", the sock that is constantly lost in laundry limbo(in my case its more than one), and the left hand of Bela Lugosi.

*nods head while looking at the bag* yeah, i think that's it. wait, wait... and the only thing that Pandora kept in the box, but now is in the bag *nods again* yep, that's it. btw, if i win... do i get the contents of said bag? Very Happy I could use all of the above.

Sincerely,
SirWaxaLot

A bunch of years back, I lived with a few friends and we learned to hate one of them...we started to not refer to her by her name only as "her". Whenever someone asked, "What's in the bag?" The correct answer was...

"Her."

Whats in the bag? ... the first thing that springs to mind is a mouldy half eaten sandwich and a rotten orange.

Ooh, this reminds me of years ago, years ago...we each had a bag with something in, and us kiddiewinks had to write about it without looking...

So I propose that's the answer. The bag contains another bag, which contains a rubbery puppet of Chinaren, which is also a container for his soul (which may or may not also be rubber). And a gonk.

Dammit! When I said free I meant... er. Ah screw it. Time to get drunk again.

Good work so far people, but don't hold back now. I want to gasp in awe! Oooh! in admiration! Guffah* in mirth! And so forth...

You can enter as many times as you like btw.

Come on, get those wild and wacky thinking hats on.

There is no bag. It is only your mind, in the shape of a bag, because you believe the bag is there.

Syr, you stole my answer right outta my brain!

"Look at the spoon... there IS no spoon.. blah blah blah."

In the bag is the left hand horn of a wild albino antelope (of which there are none), caught roaming the wheat fields of Sandiego (of which there are none) in the great land of Mesipotamia (which is no more).

Hmmmm... after serious inspection, i would have to say that the bag contains not only

a spoonful of sugar (which makes the medicine go down)
a thingabamboo (which Princess Pat used to sail the seven seas)
a bear that climbed over a mountain (to see what he could see)
a rowing boat (in which life is but a dream)
a peck of pickled peppers (Picked by Peter Piper)
shells sold from the seashore (by sally of course)
a woodchuck hurling wood (turns out they actually CAN chuck wood)

but also a rather loud thermometer

Ya know, I could type up a list of weird and wacky stuff that might be in that bag. But I don't think it would be right. You know what's in that bag. It's full of money, a mix of large and small bills, stolen by a gangster from some shop he hit up. He's stashed that sack away for safekeeping until the cops get off his tail, but he's coming back to pick it up real soon. You can take it or leave it, the choice is yours -- but you'd better book it outta there kid, 'fore he shows up and has ta off another witness....

Mmm, so far I'm leaning towards Bookwiz's answer 5 -

A better world, 'cos that nearly made me smile. Which is something, 'cos it's early here, and I've not had my morning coffee yet.

This has got to be the longest running contest of all time! And I enjoy it. I hope it never comes to an end.

Wot's in the bag?

Parings from the left major toenail of the last viking, name unknown, to ever set foot in Nova Scotia (prior to it being Nova Scotia, of course).

Not very big, either.

Inside the bag is a rift in the space-time continuum
Through the rift is:

1) Schrodinger's cat
2) A venomous snake with it's fangs removed and painted an iridescent Green with a Purple hourglass instead of a rattle (which contains antimatter Sand)
3) A necklace once worn by the King of nothing, who presided over something, which consisted of everything
4) Ares, trapped in a earthenware Jar
5) Another rift, this time in the 0th dimension (time only, no space)
i) Inside that rift lies another bag, which has no seams and no corners- it appears solely as a blackened sphere, and within that sphere lies your current thoughts
ii) Next to (which is irrelevant due to the lack of 1rst-3rd dimension) the sphere lies a statue: it is of nothing at all, yet it resembles the stein from which you drank the night before, and liquid metal sloshes over the rim ever so often, when an unseen force shakes the 0th dimension
iii) If you look hard enough, the face of a long lost love appears, flickering in and out in a ghostly existence, and though you cannot hear him/her, you can understand exactly what they wish to say

By the way, the bag is placed upon a tree stump in a burnt down forest, where only the single tree that you cut down remains unsinged (no idea how to spell that)
